    Crystal Palace match thread

Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana return as Jürgen Klopp makes four changes to his Liverpool side for today's Barclays Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace at Anfield.

The attacking duo were on the bench for the Europa League victory at Rubin Kazan in midweek but are back in the starting XI to face the Eagles, as are Lucas Leiva and Martin Skrtel.

Joe Allen, Roberto Firmino, Dejan Lovren and James Milner make way, while Lucas takes up the captaincy.

Liverpool team: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Ibe, Lallana, Coutinho, Benteke.

Substitutes: Bogdan, Lovren, Allen, Brannagan, Teixeira, Firmino, Origi.

Good to see Lucas getting the armband, as he should really have it full time.

He came off with an injury in the EL game midweek.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Just looking at the table after the Villa-City game, we are currently in 9th but a win would put us up to 8th, just 4 points behind 4th and potentially 6 points behind the leaders (if Arsenal don't beat Spurs), the league is so tight at the moment

Exciting team. I take it we're expecting Lallana to play deeper?

Can only see an easy win with such a great captain.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

No, he's only been registered for the League Cup squad.

                          Klopp's wearing a cap.

Gerrard sandwiched between Flanagan and Henderson in the crowd.

Mig acting up early....weak clearance by Sakho but recovered well

Need to clear the ball first and foremost
