Well, it's always been thus. The League is our bread and butter etc, etc, as Shankly used to say.

Quotes like these, the 69 joke in Being Liverpool is why I am not a huge fan of Ian Ayre being our CEO. He maybe great at sales and marketing but he lakes the sophistication, the gravitas, or the nuanced communication ability needed for leading our club in such issues.Originally posted by Cormack74 View Posthttp://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport...e-ian-10445146
Ayre is quoted as saying: “We have the enviable position of selling out every game but not having the route in to have a 12 or 13 year old come. Local supporters groups want to discriminate against travelling fans to get more Scousers back in Anfield. Stadium renovation could help.”
Irrespective of whether that statement is true or not ( and I dont believe it is) the use of the word discrimination is only going to create more distance between our club and local supporter groups. The issue of access to local supporters versus global fanbase is already a complex one with no perfect answers or solutions. I remember a similar issue about sharing of TV rights where we were made to look like villains to the rest of the premier league by some unnecessary comments made by Ayre about Bolton and their TV rights share. I do believe in these kind of situations Ayre should learn to deal with more tact and diplomacy.

I disagree he shouldn't have to learn on the job much in the same way BR shouldn't have either. Look what happens when you bring professionals in.....we need a David Dein type in pronto...Ayre is just a pantomime dame and a poor one at that...Originally posted by peekay View PostQuotes like these, the 69 joke in Being Liverpool is why I am not a huge fan of Ian Ayre being our CEO. Ayre is a bell end as well though. Those clips / pics of him driving around Liverpool on his harley davidson, as well as the snaps of him with Robbie Fowler on his shoulders, just add to his dickheadness in my view. He strikes me as a guy who wants to hang out with footballers. Pleb.
For me, Ayre should have been left negotiating with the likes of Guardia Indonesia for their logo on the back of our training gear, with Dunkin Donuts to be the"official LFC coffee" (whatever the **** that is), with getting Sturridge to make a Subway sandwich on a telly advert (he does **** all else for LFC so why not) and with New Balance to make our kits. As soon as he signed Dejan Lovren for £20m then that should have been enough to get him sent back to his old job.

For all we know you could be driving around on a Harley Davidson, does that make you a bellend?

People are allowed hobbies, even well paid Chief Executives of top football clubs.

Watching Ireland V Bosnia today I could not help think about how desperately silent Liverpool Supporters have become .. absolutely no passion coming from the stands ..I can only hope once the results and goals come that these lazy 40 somethings find their voices againAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. It's because they're not allowed to.Originally posted by Nicey View PostWatching Ireland V Bosnia today I could not help think about how desperately silent Liverpool Supporters have become .. absolutely no passion coming from the stands ..I can only hope once the results and goals come that these lazy 40 somethings find their voices again
People have mentioned about having a designated singing section, there should also be a designated shouting and swearing section as I think people that get involved in the game a bit more although they're perhaps a bit stressed and slightly deranged, they're also more passionate.
It should be an even 50/50 split, when you purchase your ticket or season ticket or whatever you should be given the of option for what end you want to go in. If you don't want to sing, stand up or **** then you go in one half of the ground. If you want to stand, shout, swear have a few scoops during the game then you go into the other end of the stadium. In that part of the ground you can do whatever you like bar spitting and fighting, no restrictions and the atmosphere would be amazing.
Kids/teenagers should be allowed in for free in all sections of the ground, near the front perhaps close to the pitch - what do people think? If they were in with all the loons maybe have a guard so nothing happens to them, like a shield. In the crazy end create a platform so one loon can stand on it with an airhorn and microphone getting everyone gee'd up like they do in Germany and Greece etc, no?
It's ****ing simple really.Last edited by Slinky Skills; 18-11-15, 12:17 AM.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
