A win tomorrow will put us level with Spurs and 3 points behind City and United after today's results.

    Getting interesting

Interesting, but we'd be a point behind spurs and four behind utd. They do get a point from the draws today.

We still need to go out and win.
          Are we winning?

Fair enough. That's weird. When i looked they'd obviously updated the points but not the previous results indicator thing.

That makes it even more interesting

I'm sorry for making myself look stupid by getting the points difference wrong.

I'd bet on Newcastle 2-1 myself. Its that sort of weekend.

Is Damian coming along later with the team news? He got the midweek team spot on.

                          Mbemba Collocini Dummet

Has to be the worst centre back combo in Premier league history. If Collocini gets within 5 yards of any of our players ill eat my hat.

                          Five nil.

Absolutely massive game this for us. I think we've all been used to seeing other teams drop points and us not taking advantage of that in the past but with Klopp for the first time in a long time I'm going into games expecting us to win rather than hoping.

Klopp has taken and squad that had very little confidence, players who didn't get much of a look in under Rodgers and made them feel just as important and the starters. He has filled everyone with belief and confidence and in return they would run through brick walls for him.

We all know that we are not the richest club in the world but if you have a manager with a world class reputation then players are going to want to play for him. January is going to be interesting and its going to be refreshing knowing the manager isn't going to want to rebuild every 12 months.

As for the game tomorrow we need to come out of the blocks 100mph so Newcastle won't know what's hot them. Get an early goal or two and the atmosphere in the ground will quickly turn toxic against McLaren and the team which will add to the pressure.

I'd have us to win, but the games have been piling up for us and it's not easy being right on it, game after game. I said the same pre Southampton mind, but with every game that goes the possibility of us being flat rises.

I think we've seen enough from this league though this season to know simply turning up & collecting the points isn't a forgone conclusion.
                              Forwards.......

That's what a competitive squad is all about. Rotate mentally tired players and replace with those that want to get a place.

Worked for Origi, Lovren and Allen!
