There is an element of that after a full pre-season, and Rodgers had him as the man with the jersey at the start of the season (well received on here as far as I remember ), but then the West Ham game happened and the lad got absolute ****ing pelters.

He's been kind of a beneficiary of the good-will generated by Klopp's arrival, but I suspect the pelters will be back out as soon as he 'does a Dejan'™

Good result. I have no real expectations this season given the squad Rodgers left us. I mean seriously - how many of our players would fit into the teams we're supposed to be rivals of? Coutinho would and then Can and Henderson might be. Beyond that there's nobody. We need another clear-out. I have total faith in Klopp, the squad are **** pretty much thanks to our previous manager(s).

we played well, we knew who their dangermen were (ala mahrez and the new Marcus Stewart - yeah i know diff playing style but y'all know what i mean - even if i admire his playing style, i think unless he moves after this year, he will be a one hit wonder for them) and we took advantage of that defensively (surrounding mahrez when he had the ball - he looks a real handful when he can get a touch, a credit to us we kept him most of the time in check)... what surprised me was their diminutive player, no-nonsense kante, he really is industrious, tough tackling and all action and with great turn of pace - perhaps a cheap option in the transfer window?

Anyhow back to us.. our players deserved the result, we dominated them ...

Last season he was a disaster, he had improved over the summer and has been better this season even under Rodgers, the problem earlier in the season was that he was playing with Skrtel, who I don't feel has had the best season, I think Skrtel's form early this season combined with Lovren's form last made it easy for us to attack the pair of them as a joke, when in all honesty of the two (Lovren and Skrtel) Lovren has probably been the better all season.

I would like to see the Lovren Sakho partnership get more game time even when Skrtel is fit, because recently it has started to look like Skrtel is the problem.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'd say of the usual starters Clyne, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Hendo, Coutinho and a fit Sturridge would be at least pushing for a starting place at any BPL club.

There aren't many top class CBs in the league at the moment, not many top class RBs or LBs either. Plenty of quality midfielders but not many strikers to be honest. It's bizarre, it seems that 10 years ago there were so many more world class players for each position throughout the World.

It just paints a picture of how I read the defensive partnership today, about who was progressive and who was cover. Was OK overall, but there were more than a few errors there today, especially from Mama, and yes, at one or two points, his reserved positioning did influence a chance for the visitors, but we'll take a clean sheet all day long.
Sometimes it just requires a bit of objectivity to properly look at a player's performance, plus I know how much Est loves an incriminating screengrab or two, but to be honest, while there are more than a couple that could be pulled from today's game, I'd leave that to others to ****stir
yeah some people on here really do like a selective screen grab alright, I'd like to think people can see through that but not so sure. I'm delighted with the clean sheet but certainly not pretending that was a solid CB display. If Marty did some of those dodgy moments, you can be guaranteed they would be screen shotted all of this place. Lovren was decent but with some dodgy moments & Sakho was all over the place but IMO had a decent last 20 mins. I think that is a fair assessment. If the Sakho/Lovren partnership blossoms then happy days, we'll see.

Long live the clean sheets but I'm not going to pretend it was a something else just because Marty wasn't playing. But sure, I'd say that anyways because I'm utterly relentless and have an agenda

Rather than passively moaning about people taking the time to screen shot things to prove their points, why not screen shot or whatever else you feel like doing to prove yours?

All mentioning that sort of thing in a negative light does is put people off from debate for fear of ridicule.

For your comment about you being relentless and having an agenda. I think its a bit of both. You clearly dont have an agenda, that is unless you are Martin Skrtel's agent and are looking to improve his contract.
But you are fairly relentless with the same few points over and over. I personally dont mind and it doesnt bother me. But I can see why it annoys others.

So again, rather than mentioning it in a passive way. Look and see if there is a reason people say the things they do. People dont like to see someone playing the victim, and by mentioning it there I think it comes across like you are.

Come on Dan. You are better than this

I actually had a bit of a chuckle at the victim comment, ****ing hell pal... I'll get onto the samaritans shall I

Nah mate, why would I bother going through the exertion of posting numerous selective screenshots? The only thing that will accomplish is a back and forth of epic proportions with the clique.. to absolutely no end. I have my opinion about a particular football player, others have different opinions about this particular football player, big deal ffs. Mc put a pic that proved a certain point, that was good enough for me. God forbid we get a balance that upsets a few heads on here, that have set their opinion in stone.

In relentless, you mean like the clamour to get to the Skrtel thread by the some particular posters after the match to post snidey remarks looking for a reaction? If I am considered "relentless", well am I certainly not alone. I think it's fairly obvious on here that a few others seek me out across threads, proof is there if you want to check it out... and I will most certainly wind it up if I blatantly sough out. I just don't take these tirades too seriously, it's just footie. Each to their own, well apparently.

I made a little crack at the end of my post to Mc, it's just taking the piss. Considering some of the thing said on here, I find your post a wee bit selective to be honest. If you're going to pick at things on my end and ignore all the other stuff coming my way, I would appreciate it if you could just drop me a pm next time... as it doesn't make you look exactly impartial. Cheers

Hey dom, shall I post a link to the home cinema thread? Proves my point.

In a few hours the other day, you mention me in the Sakho thread for absolutely no reason, random sarcastic remark in the movies you last watch thread & lost your marbles in the home cinema thread. Cliquey.

If you like. I went a bit haywire and I apologised. Nothing to do with cliques. I was a lone wolf.

Alex was trying to give you some perspective just now, but it looks like you haven't got it.

So there we are. As we were.

                          Byee.

The stuff coming your way is addressed too. But my response to you was more as another member of the site rather than a mod.

I try to make it fairly obvious when I am modding. Sorry if you thought that was me picking at you. That wasn't the intention.

Ah not at all I'm easy going, I know it's a mad house in here I was trying to get across my point also.

                              Thanks mate

Great result. Then again we tend to do better against the top sides! Can and Henderson as an athletic big unit midfield two made the difference, and I think Klopp favors his tried and tested 4-2-3-1 in the premiereship too. The problem is that after Can and Henderson, our options in Allen, Lucas and Milner don't quite hold up.
I wear my heart on my profile name.
