Rodgers assembled a very poor squad.

I don't think the squad is too bad on paper but there's a huge imbalance in attack. Today and many other times previously, there is a clear disconnect between the 3 behind the striker and benteke. They clearly aren't suited to playing together but we don't have any choice at the moment.

Klopp has to put together a patchwork team that lacks cohesion because of injuries and poor purchasing in the summer.

We lack pace and incision in the final third which maybe Markovic could have helped with. Both fullbacks have **** delivery from wide areas, and we haven't any goals in midfield.

Benteke isn't second choice for klopp he would be 4th choice behind Sturridge, Ings and origi. If we play with him we don't have any decent service from the team to suit him. Brad smith put in the best cross on the 80th min whatever it was.

We cannot play to bentekes strengths and it makes him look worse than he is. But today he lost all his battles.

For all the possession we have we do nothing with it, because the opposition let us have the ball in those areas, we have little meaningful possession in dangerous areas of the pitch because in those areas of the pitch (the ones that matter) we are out-fought. We need to win the battle and earn the right to play our football that is what all the best LFC teams of the past did, and we haven't been doing that in the last couple of years. We need some players who will bring that fight and desire because at the moment most players don't look like they give a ****. Bring in a couple of players who will shout at people and give them the kick up the arse they need and we'll start going in the right direction, at the moment we are drifting aimlessly through games.

We cant press teams if they don't want the ball and west ham aren't doing something that hasn't been done before. All inferior teams sit back and hit better teams on the counter - we did it under rafa for years.

The first goal is crucial especially v the ****ter teams as they wont sit back once they're behind. That's where Sturridge is crucial.
