When we lost to Newcastle and Watford away we were ****e in them games as well without Benteke up top, it was the same abject display with the same outcome
By the looks of it we are lacking in all departments over the pitch and badly need a signing in the next couple of weeks who maybe can change our season,
Our midfield got bossed again by a more aggresive opponent from the outset on the road.
All that money we have spent and i dont see anyone who has improved us in the goalscoring stakes and in an attacking sense.

Wasn't trying to be funny. Just thought the comparison to a random comedian was a bit strange and not very relevant to one group of athletes who looked marginally more tired than another set.Originally posted by jw54 View PostDon't understand your point. If it's humorous then it's easy to subtle for me. My point is that fatigue should not be an excuse for such a poor performance.

Yep, it's been like that all season, with a couple of decent performances here or there.Originally posted by gratziani View PostWhen we lost to Newcastle and Watford away we were ****e in them games as well without Benteke up top, it was the same abject display with the same outcome

Ideally, Can would be at the base, with Coutinho ahead, controlling things from deep, and Henderson ahead of him
If we are playing with one up front and 3 behind, we need the 3 behind to get into the box and run beyond the striker. Coutinho doesn't want to do that, he wants to be behind the ball or playing through balls all the time therefore he needs to play in a deeper role rather than an 'off the front' role. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yup, said it myself a few times. We've seen he can score a worldie from time to time so people want him close to goal but it just negates his best quality which is picking a pass and his shooting really isn't up to scratch to be one of the forward players. He'd be much better behind the front players with a few lads ahead of him moving around (one less if Benteke is playing) to pick out.Originally posted by Exiled_red View Post

Pressing has to be from the front under Klopps systemOriginally posted by el matador View PostWe cant press teams if they don't want the ball and west ham aren't doing something that hasn't been done before. All inferior teams sit back and hit better teams on the counter - we did it under rafa for years.
The first goal is crucial especially v the ****ter teams as they wont sit back once they're behind. That's where Sturridge is crucial.
Benteke doesn't work hard enough in this regards and neither does Firmino. They don't even close space or give angles which would be a help. I've lost count of the number of times at Anfield that Klopp bollocks Benteke for not running 10 yards to improve an angle for those behind to start the pressBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
