[FAC] Exeter City (A): Build Up

This game was never going to be anything other than the under-card to this weeks League Cup semi final first leg and I was always expecting a lot of kids and squad players however so long is the injury list as I type it could well be mainly U21s.

    Mig
    Randall--Ilori-erm--Smith
    Pedro---Branngan--Lucas
    Ibe-benteke-kent

    sort of thing

    Actually a 7.55 KO

We are pretty much in a domestic cup final now (they aren't going to turn us over when Anfield is rocking in a semi final regardless of our injuries) so going full strength here now or whatever would seem slightly insane, it's 4th on the list of priorities now and a massive way behind the other 3.

Mig, Benteke, Ibe and the kids.

Anyone watch the U-21s regularly? Is there a young Centre-back we could chuck in for Exeter? Brewitt?

              Mignolet
              Randall--Ilori--Lucas--Smith
              Allen---Milner--Can
              Ibe-Benteke-Kent

Doubt Illori is ready though, has he returned? Can for a youngster at 60 mins, maybe Milner as well.

Aswell as some youngsters, Benteke, Ibe & Allen should start IMO. Milner needs some mins too.

I think we're about to tell Sinclair to **** off elsewhere.

Please God no, don't touch our young CBs with a barge pole. They've been **** for many years.

Milner should definitely start. We'll need his energy and experience if we're mainly playing younger players.

Do we give Bogdan another go? Probably not seeing as he has not future with us now, long or short.

                        Mig
                        Randall Kolo Lucas Smith
                        Allen Can Milner
                        Ibe Benteke Kent

And I only picked Benteke because Smith is playing who is an exceptional crosserer of the ball. Let's see if 'we don't play to his strengths' now.

No way Bogdan. Apart from that I'd go with your team.

I'd use this game as a training session to pair up Smith and Benteke. See if we can coach some runs and positioning.

Supposedly Kolo is OK, which is great news, it will likely be him and Ilori?

As far as CB's go, we also have Wisdom (can't be recalled), Lloyd Jones and Jordan Williams (both with serious long term injuries ) out on loan. And that's about it. Real shame about Williams especially, he was great for the u21's, last year against Boro in the cup and for Swindon too, played almost every minute before getting ****ed.

Oh, and imagine having a healthy Joe Gomez all this time... what is happening??
