I actually agree with harv here re hendersons efforts.

whilst I am not having a go at Henderson as such, he's a decent player but like so many in our team that is all he is - he lacks that real spark, top class quality - whilst he is a good pro, can play the game and probably one of better players all that says to me is sad indictment on the rest of them.

Yesterday - whilst I am not saying he should bury all and every chance that comes to him - he should do more.

The first half, where it dropped down to him, it's a difficult chance agreed, but in big games, big players make something off those chances - he was under no pressure, it sat up perfectly and it looked like he didn't get anywhere near the goal - he should be going close or making the keepr work at least.

the 'placed' attempt for me is even worse - it's a poor lame effort which shows the lack of confidence imo

Admittley I've only seen them live once at the game and not watched any replays but I honestly felt he should do better....

whether people agree with this next bit or not, at half time I said to the fella next to me that there is only one player on this pitch with the pedigree to do something and score, Rooney....

And what happens, one chance and goal. Put the bias and hatred aside, forget about current form - whatever you say about rooney, he has that pedigree and ability to do something big when it matters - we don't have anyone in our squad like that other than sturridge who is a write off.

With Henderson, he seems to **** it off his shin almost hence why he ends up spooning it over the goal, his shooting is poor but the whole team's is. What the **** do they do in training, do they not practice shooting or perhaps they do but aren't doing it properly?

The entire team seems incapable of hitting a decent strike at goal which can cause problems, apart from Firminio perhaps of late.

I like Hendo & he deserves a bit of time to re-bed in but by our standards of club captain he's not up to scratch. As has been pointed out, he'd have been a sub in Rafa's midfield & he's sposed to be out talisman.

I'm not sure, I reckon Rafa could have used him, Henderson has been injured almost all season so it's a bit unfair to have go at him IMO. But, saying that, IMO there is not space for so many jack-of-all-trades players.

We have Henderson who's better than Milner, Can who'll be better than both and then Allen who's average and Lucas who can tackle. Milner's best trait is his running and versatility but we need other traits in our CM's, like goals, power, tackles and assists.

The major problem is the lack of killer instinct from the entire front six, as others have said about 8 goals between them so far this season.

We know Lucas is never going to score , so leaves five others to get the goals,

Cout and Sturridge change our outlook dramatically. so if they are not available we are left with Lallana and Firmino who are not a patch on the other two. basically we need a goal scoring midfielder who can shoot like Stevie G and a foreign striker who wont cost the earth who puts the ball in the back of the net.

I would be happy with a striker who plays more games than he misses and puts the ball in the back of the net. I don't think it matters where he's from or how much he costs, provided he gets the job done.

Henderson would walk into Man City, Arsenal, Utd, and Chelsea's sides.

Madness to suggest otherwise, he's better than Delph, Fernando, Fernandiho, Coquelin, Flamini, Sweinsteiger, Schneiderlan, Mikel and on this season's form Matic.

We have some dross, quite a bit of it actually. Henderson isn't one of them.
