For a start we have never seen him react to a competitive game in the Premier League much like many of the other kids who played last night

The first game against Exeter you could argue that he didnt deal well with balls in the air and struggled with the pace of the game

Last night I didnt think he struggled at all in any aspect

Brannagan may not make it at Liverpool but he is exactly the kind of unfussy ball carrying midfielder that many a club would like to have. I rate him higher than Rossiter who loads wet themselves over though that may just be a local lad thing.

Personally I don't think the Exeter fans were anything special,besides the odd hush and a gerrard song I didn't really hear them.

Exeter fans outsong the Liverpool fans most of the night ... the best I have seen the Liverpool fans this season was Away in Switzerland .. when they had a prolonged chant that seemed to go on for 20 minutes ... that was Ace ... Anfield **** me its embarrassing

Just when you think he can't play any worse, he starts to try dribble and do tricks

Tex hangs a superb ball up for him to nod home and he even somehow ****ed that up

Tex looked quality, give him a run with Coutihno and Firmino and we'd see some real movement and chances created IMO. He's Lallana with end product.

Ibe….just has no football brain this kid. Skills out his arse, but zero end product. He's still young though, so it might click, but I'm not holding my breath.

Stewart was **** again….im not sure what others are seeing. He gave the ball away countless times and had to bust his arse to retrieve it. Thats not a good performance.

Illori - hardly even noticed him = the sign of a good CB, read the game well and snuffed out any trouble immediately.

Ojo- looks like the next good youngster that will get his shot. What a lovely calm finish that was. Pure class. I'd have him up top instead of Binteke. He can't do any worse, and his movement looks very good.

Flanno Great to see someone with a bit of fire in their belly back.

I thought Stewart was ****e too, yet most people seem to have been impressed. No idea what I missed but he looked strikingly out of his depth to me.

On our pathetic supporters again, Exeter fans making loud Shushhhh sounds came through perfectly audibly twice on the TV. And they allowed Stevie G to get ra@ed at our own ground, constantly and unchallenged bar the once.

I just don't see as much as it would seem pretty much everyone else .... another case of sign a player who his entire ****ing career has played one way ... expect him to play another way ... he surprise surprise does not and the everybody loses his thier ****.... the abuse the lad is getting I feel is out of proportion

Bottom line, he's looked absolutely **** for us. Few moments aside that only serve to question why he can't do it more often, he's looked like a pub player

He shouldn't have been signed by Rodgers unless he was going to set the team up to his strengths. And now that Klopp is here, who doesn't play that way, there's no place for Benteke in the team

He's blatantly not as rubbish as he's been for us, but that's not really the point

I think people do have a tendency to go overboard, but it's the basics that he seems unwilling to do. He's a big strong ****er that loves to head the ball, so why does he not occupy the positions where this is most likely to happen? Why doesn't he make himself a nuisance against central defenders that are mostly smaller than him?

And the 3x absolute sitters? Three is almost indefensible. Someone that is paid so much money to score goals?

Commentators kept going on about how if you get crosses into the box then benteke will shine. He had 2 headers that voronin's pigtail would of scored with, and he still missed. Lord knows why they keep going on and on about him being useful.

You can tell from looking at him Lec, he's slight. I'm not saying he couldn't be good he may well be in time but we bought him from Portugal, loaned him to Spain and France then he hardly got a kick for Villa 21's.
None of them physical leagues, I can't see him being strong enough atm to cope with powerful PL strikers.

Klopp's comments about Sinclair? "he's good for sure but very difficult to play 9 vs PL defenders"
Strongly rumoured links to Matip, the CM lad Grunjic?? (sp) being 6ft plus, Joe Allen not featuring as much in PL games recently when he's done well, Steven Caulker in on loan (instead of playing Ilori) all point to physicality being a big thing for Klopp.

Certainly CB and CM.

Different types of midfielders, Rossiter much better imo, his awareness and use of the ball far in advance of Brannigan.
Hardly ever gives the ball away, protects space brilliantly. Very intelligent footballer.

I think 2 games vs Exeter are missed opportunities for Rossiter with his injury, again imo he'd have started both of them.
