If you did a straw poll on which of those two groups of players were better, do you really believe the latter would come out on top? They're not favourites, they're just better. And today they gave us a goal and an assist.

Been reading Lallana was given it on a plate by our only glimmer of hope - Firmino. Milner is not a proper footballer. Watching him does not change that opinion.

Milner, Can and Lallana might not be great but the other three are not good enough. Putting a load of youngsters into a team playing badly would be disastrous.

I suspect Sturridge and Coutinho will replace two and then maybe one of the youngsters brought in to replace one of the other ones playing badly.

Yes in a word, you go on the Dons forum and read the Ward thread - they hate that they lost him and hate that he isn't even getting a game for Liverpool ahead of Migs and Bodgan (well he is ahead of the latter now of course) or just watch him in the U21s as I did earlier in the week. He was constantly talking with his back line. Since he came back into the U21 they have shipped one goal.

What to expect ?the same **** for the last 2 seasons can't defend for love nor money and a cup exit....Our season is now totally dependant on Firmini,Couthino and Sturridge....Shocking,and How Mignolet doesn't get dropped is amazing.

Hope Coutinho and Sturridge can start. You'd have to commit to subbing them both on 60 though so doubt they both will.

It would be good to see them both whether they start or come on.

Ward has to be given a go.

Bogdan is playing for the U21's today instead of Ward so hopefully that means Ward is in for a game on Tuesday.

We will never know if we don't give him games, his confidence must be high after his loan spell, Mignolet has been poor for much of the season, so I don't see giving Ward a game as that much of a risk.

I would imagine Coutinho may start but, given how long Sturridge has been out I would be surprised if he played more than 30 mins
