What's the best thing to do then? Spunk some more money on average players?

Or just not buy average players? Maybe just buy better players than the average players we currently have?

      This team needs wholesale changes.

And just to add to your point about not having too much sympathy if you can afford the higher priced tickets already. A lot of people, me included can't. But myself, and my dad have sat in the same seat for years and I'm not willing to be priced out.

Problem is, if you don't pay, someone else will. You know it, I know it and the club knows it. And that's why I think these protests will achieve nothing. The only ones who will lose out are those who refuse to pay.

They only thing were good at is being Rubbish, slightly alarming the were basically the same under Klopp as we were under Rodgers, some of these players are really thick. Also disappointed the players haven't lifted their game under a new manager.Unless were saved by Sturridge,Couthino and Firmino i expect us to be out of all cup competitions very quickly and keep sliding down the table.

We started the whole commercialising football in this country and now our fans are complaining because Fenway look at the fans like customers. That's exactly what we are and football clubs are business's.

I don't like sos and spionkop but they have a point. However, the club know that demands exceeds supply and that leads to price imbalances. I don't want to get into the argument about the club ripping off the fans but is this all about charging £77 for tickets ?

                    I don't think it is.
It's to do with price increases in general. £77 is the top price for a general admission matchday ticket for a Category A game in the Main Stand (200 tickets), which is £18 more than this season.

The ticketing group who were in consultation with the club were aware that the club will make £35million this season in tickets. If there was a price freeze, the club would make £37million. Due to the ticketing news, the club will make £39million, yet the corporate hospitality stuff will make enough to cover repayments for the building of the Main Stand. Basically, the club are making an extra £2million for no reason, other than to boost the coffers.

The fact that people will buy these tickets means the club could easily raise them again in the future. As we saw today, when the fans left, where were the songs? Where was the atmosphere? In light of the new TV deal too, there wasn't a justification to raise prices.

Ian Ayre said himself that the club culture is the biggest seller, more than anything, yet they are contributing to the destruction of that. If they continue in this manner, they will have a permanent, soulless club, with the draw of the famous Anfield atmosphere and experience being nothing more than a remnant in history.

Football has become a business, but it looks like that it's reaching, or has reached boiling point in the case of Liverpool Football Club.

What they've done is test the waters on how much they could get away with, and this time, the reaction has been nuclear.

I totally understand that mate basic supply and demand, and I understand that Football is a business nowadays.

I honestly thought the protests would never get rid of Hicks and Gillette. But in the end they did.. kind of. If anything it made the footballing world aware of what was going on. And to an extent this is what the walkout is about. Making people aware that the common football fan will not be walked allover.

I must point out that I'm not a supporter of SoS, and I often argued against their policies on here too.

How many people are still on the waiting list? The owners must be nervous about the mood of the fans given that they're about to add another 8,500 seats? Football is far too expensive, I couldn't justify the expense to myself on a regular basis (I go to about five or six games per season). I'd rather go and watch my local (Evostick Northern League) team and pay £7 per game.

Aye, you're right, new fans in the ground won't have any passion. Is that what you mean? Or did I miss your point?

Having seen the revenue breakdowns, I can see some real merit to a club deciding to halve its match prices and get fans through the door. Its such a small part for us these days. I get the commercials of it, but its got me thinking.

Anyway, that said, whatever happens, the biggest failing for me is that smaller clubs are being shrewd and picking up great players and we seem hell bent on paying big for average players. Don't get us

Anfield would end up like Stamford Bridge if the likes of the Spion Kop lads walk away if you ask me
