Because its unthinkable for Liverpool football club to start fielding weakened teams in the league, regardless of where we are in it. Until its mathematically impossible to finish higher than we are we'll keep taking it seriously. As we should really.

Maybe if we weren't already in a cup final things might be different.

Yeah I get it, but if he were to win two trophies in his first season, the legend begins.

I think you'll see us go all out for the Europa so they hope we end up with it and the League cup.

At least the bench looks good for a change, not sure what to make of the midfield

Agree 100%. Definitely not the time for Danny ward to make his debut with those 2 centre backs in front of him.

Rather throw Mignolet to the lions instead

I think we will see Henderson and Milner introduced early in the second if we are still in this tie or possibly earlier if things get to heavy for those young ones in the middle of the park... Sturridge will get a run out in the second half, especially if it looks like extra time.

Well Mig gets the nod again - must say I am surprised after the gaffs his made of late.. I suppose as he is our number 1 at the moment Klopps needs to instil some confidence in to him - show so faith and hopefully he'll perform ...

What type of midfielder is Chirivella?

                        Central, essentially a passer/recycler

According to an article I came across while googling him, the word you are looking for is "tidy," apparently.

I'd categorise him as the latest addition to our long list of quite-skillful-but unsuited-to-the-fast-paced-physical-nature-of-the-English-game ball playing attacking mdfielders, who flit around the reserves and then live out their depressingly anticlimactic Liverpool careers being loaned out to increasingly poor foreign teams.

                              He's the Jesus midfielder.

Weird mix of experience, talent and youth. And Benteke and Mignolet.
