Going to extra time without winning isn't ideal. But I feel like we play really well some of the kids look excellent, Origi and Sturridge completely changed our attack when they came on. And Sturridge definitely brought the best out of Benteke.

Klopp's decisions resulted in us having a ton of opportunities. Having a team of mental patients, however, meant that we weren't gonna score from any of them.

Decent showing in a very scrappy & typical cup game. Lucas was ****ing brilliant but was silly foul which he is prone too. Kids done ok, few mistakes & I did think that Milner or Henderson should have been on earlier to shore up that midfielder.

IMO the the subs unbalanced us. Taking Phil off was fair enough but him and Tex... our two ball players IMO really threw us off. Gutting to lose like that but not unexpected.

P.S. Ibe needs to be loaned out somewhere.

Like I said we played well, just didn't put the ball in the net, we look a better side with Sturridge in it add to that the quality of Coutinho and I think things should improve if we can keep them fit.

A side with a fully fit Sturridge, Firmino and Coutinho would be better than what we have seen recently.

Well once again the young players have made cases for themselves, Chivvy was very good for an 18 year old on his senior debut, Benteke will never score again.

However the reason that was lost really was Klopp's curious decision to make the double sub which removed the guile from the midfield.

Thought the youngsters did very well indeed

Terrible double sub. One of Couts and Tex should have stayed instead of Origi. I wasn't sat there thinking we need more pace down the left, maybe the idea was to get the ball to Benteke but the useless **** is allergic to the box

A few fans in the ground spotted it at the time and I did myself but Payet handled the ball before it crossed the line as he bent down to pick it up for the throw in that led to the free kick. Handball shouts went up as he did it and they were right.

Still over the two games we had loads of chances, most of them to big useless cunt and he missed them all.

Nothing wrong with the subs. If Benteke had taken his chances it would've been a great all round performance and result. The finishing let us down
