Some more quotes from Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp's news conference, with more on his relationship with the club's owners, who cancelled plans to introduce £77 tickets after the fans protested.

"I think the world of football it is not easy when you are the owner of a club to prove you are interested in the club," said Klopp.

"I have been here four-and-a-half months and I know the owners as people. They really care about the club and the interests of supporters.

"Hopefully it is understood for what it is: proof of their real interest in this club and all the things around this club."

Liverpool striker Christian Benteke will return to his former club Aston Villa on Sunday, but is not in a good run of form with no goals in 11 games in 2016, although the Belgian has received support from his boss.

"I can do a lot of things but at the end - and it is not only with Christian - the last important help comes from the player himself," says Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

"I saw really good signs at West Ham. It is not the easiest period of his career but the number of opportunities is a good sign, if he had no opportunities it would be a much bigger problem.

"You cannot hide yourself. I talked to him a few times and gave him some advice as a human being and a coach and he has really tried to come back to an easy moment."

I think there is an outside chance for Coutinho to start, maybe Lovren too depending on how bad his injury was.

Too early for Sturridge I think.
I hope this team does not start. It's arguably our strongest XI with consideration, agreed, but the balance of players with their attributes is not right. I would mix it up with the cup side.

I think this will be the last game we see this line up but given the circumstances, especially with the cup going to extra time I don't see a way round it really.

With three of the four strikers now fit I'd expect one of them to start at least.

Maybe Benteke as it's at Villa and he was looking better against the Hammers but if his form doesn't show further improvement bring on Sturridge as a replacement.

Behind the lone striker pick two from Firmino, Lallana, Coutinho, or Ibe

No one who played 120 minutes on Tuesday will start. And no player who played at least 45 minutes on Tuesday for the first time after previously being out with a muscle injury will start. So Robbie's team it is then.

I think Lucas more than likely will, more out of necessity but yeah I agree Klopp has shown consistently he likes his players to have adequate recovery time between games.

Will be great to see Sturridge, Coutinho and Firmino on the pitch at the same time. Can't wait.

Also, we need to win tomorrow, we're in the bottom half of the table.

Not sure that really matters in itself, but weirdly at the same time a win would put Liverpool three points behind Man Utd. Mind you they are no more likely to finish in the top 4 than us so its probably a complete irrelevance.

Finishing above United should never be seen as irrelevant . Even if it's 9th & 10th we're talking about.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Plus beating them in the final of the Europa League.
