Aye gotta be disappointed it wasn't 3 or more.
    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I agree. Klopp is caught between utilising Sturridge's natural striking ability or making use of Origi's raw willingness to run, stretch the game and put in a shift.

For the big games, I'm sure we'll see the former. Come the league games where Klopp is willing to take a performance and personal development over a result, we'll see Origi.

Come the summer, I genuinely think Sturridge will move on.

More so than the 4-1 at their place.

We were quite good tonight. Very good even. But not exceptional.

United were abject. Awful. An embarrassment. There was no real clue about them. At 1-0 I was thinking this is a great result for them. Then the second went in and I thought that 2-0 is a good result for them.

Next week will be interesting. And tense. And more tense.
No doubt 2-0 is a good result for them, it should have been at least 3, maybe more, that miss from Coutinho has to be a goal.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Klopp's subs were great really, Allen helped us gain control and then United responded by bringing on Bastian and Herrera, then Klopp injects pace and power with Origi, really good use of subs IMO.
            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

How many times are we going to hear this next week, "first goal will be important"?
              Another MASSIVE game

Get an early goal next week and they will leave wide gaps as they come at us and we should pick them off with luck.
                  who's arsed?

Piss easy against a dreadful, dreadful side. Hopefully plenty of them get a slap on the way back to Lime Street, horrible vermin.

                      1 away goal and they'll need 4.

City were the same at Anfield last week too.
                            Oh I don't know.

They weren't organised but they've got some good players and they weren't on their heels so it was a hard fought win I thought.

I've always said that we struggle to beat teams that play on the front foot since the decline, so it was good to win this one.

I've got my opinions about our captain and I think he just about scraped pass marks with that one but I really believe that if there's anyone available in the summer as an improvement, we should bring them in. No room for sentiment.
