Official Est trip in the offing?

Even without a ticket the city would be bouncing.

Fat chance! What an atmosphere though.

This team needs european big game experience. Look at what happened last time we qualified and went out meekly.

Even though this is a UEFA cup tie, playing against Dortmund will give us experience in how to manage a game against a top class European side. Invaluable experience for some of our players.
It also helps having a manager with CL experience.....
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

I find it very refreshing that a CL experienced manager fully embraces the Europa League

The former incumbent, with next to no CL or EL experience was totally disinterested. What a cunt****e of a manager!

I really don't think so. He didn't go back to visit his old club Mainz for 7 years, I think that's what he said today.

I've heard a few quotes from him where he's basically dismissive of the past. He's very much focused on the now.

I'm sure he'll relish the adoration he receives when he goes and I'm sure he will always have a soft spot for them and want them to do well but I really don't think he will get distracted in the build up or on the day of the game.

Aren't we better off getting them now over 2 legs compared to a one off final? I think we are myself.

I'm very split about this draw. Yes it will be a cool ocation because we've got Klopp in charge - but in any other situation we would bemoan our luck of getting the strongest team left in the competition at this stage. I don't see many upsides besides a great atmosphere and potentially some cracking games.

That said I would much have prefered Braga or Sparta! Followed by just about any other team

I think it's good getting them while their next league matches could see them catch Bayern to the title.

Bring it on - we either beat them and progress or lose and win every game and get 4th.

Anyone going? I'm planning it but I can't get a hotel anywhere near. Might have to stay in a nearby town and travel in on the evening of the game

Public transport is outstanding in Germany so I'd do this.

You could probably stay in Essen or Düsseldorf and train it in at midday for several beers
