The defending has been fine. We just couldn't keep the ball for the first 15 minutes and and got countered twice trying to attack in a rush.
    Are we winning?

Taking Firmino off is crazy talk, he's one of our very few game changers - I'd definitely take off Lallana, he's the least likely to come up with the magic we need to get back in the game.

        This is eminently winnable.

Score one of the plentiful chances. Then another. Then another.

        It's been before.

It can certainly be done again.
        Oh I don't know.

agree with Ken, the centre midfield has been issue for way too long.

            Also;

I think if we are going for broke one of Allen or Lucas has to come on.

I think Sturridge for Lallana is a must.

Then either Allen/Lucas for Firmino and Milner wide or Allen/Lucas for Milner
The times they are a changin'.

Sloppy, but still looks the most likely to score.

Sturridge for Lallana, Lucas for Milner:

              ------- Lucas
              -- Can ---- Coutino
              ------ Firmino
              -- Origi ---- Sturridge

LYeah we need Sturridge to score goals and Lucas to anchor the midfield. Mammoth task but at least put few away and make a game of it.

They are a world class team and have shown that today. We have had some great moments but there is a difference in quality between both teams.

We aren't that far behind and if origi had taken his chances we would be right in this. Having said all that we need to do something with Milner as he's all over the place. He's leaving far too much space in midfield for Reus and Kagawa to play in. He needs to come off.

Come on kloppo we need some magic.

The two quotes on the right of my screen are:

Tuchel: Dortmund ready to go for Liverpool's throat
Klopp: Liverpool must be brave against Dortmund
No escaping that the decision to play all four attacking positions and leave out Allen was not appropriate in the context. I like a positive attitude as much as anyone (well I don't really, it's annoying) but that was rash.

It's starts like that why I'm not fussed if any of our players are sold in the summer. All bottlers when it counts. No pressure and of course they start to play. Each of our players mentalities is weak. Frustrating but ultimately ****e. Cup finals we are usually **** in, Utd games (first leg of Europa excluded) we fail to turn up, semi final against villa and of course our title run in. The club is cursed I'm convinced of it. Why klopp decided to let them have the midfield I'll never know. Not his greatest moment. Especially since he's knows the opposition inside out.

This is far to positive for a match thread. Shame on you

Such a big build up to the game and it was over in the first few minutes. Really disappointing.

Milner is a utility winger, that is where he has shown his best for City and England previously. Like Gerrard he doesn't actually know his strengths and weaknesses

It was a gamble which didn't work. I can understand the reasoning in that Dortmund are highly likely to score so we need to score as well but... well it hasn't worked at all.
