The painful truth. Top clubs don't have this happen to them because they wrap things up early.

Even in the first half we made things hard for ourselves forgetting their two goals Origi fluffed a few chances, Lallana mi**** the ball from twelve yards out, Coutinho dragged his shot wide... they had two shots in the first ten and were 2-0 up the only season we played similar to that we nearly won the league!

The Arsenal striker scored all of their goals. It was a completely haywire game.

These kind of games just seem to happen to us
****ing ArseShavin' scored those four goals. Where the **** is he now...?

True but, unlike against the likes of Dortmund, I feel we could get away with one sub par performance against Villarreal and still win the tie.

I do think they are a good team, and that they work well as a group. But I think they are a team that we could play poorly against away and not get a complete kicking whereas against Dortmund I felt that if we played poorly in the away leg I felt that we would get badly exposed.

I also reckon that if we turn up against Villarreal in a similar mood to how we played against the Mancs (first Manc game in particular) that we could do enough damage to make the second game close to being a formality because good as Villarreal are at home in terms of results they don't really take teams to the cleaners there even when playing well..
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Just watched it again, in the 93 minute with the ground hopping some reds fans were actually leaving! Madness.

if we bring that high tempo pressing game, they'll struggle. Just hard to know what Liverpool side will turn up. I'd like to think now that the players realise what a massive opportunity this is.

Think about it, Klopp as our manager, an improving squad, up and coming young players, big summer transfer kitty & champs league football. ****ing hell that all sounds so good, long way to go and anything can happen.

Yeah typical, it was about the only decent game he ever played for them which is probably why he's now at FC Kairat in the Kazakstan premier league

Finally managed to watch the game. The Kop was amazing last night, utterly brilliant.

The togetherness and spirit that Jurgen has instilled into this side is brilliant.

                    Well I'm still ****ing buzzing.

It's been a bit of a mental 24 hrs. Last night was just ridiculous and I think I'm still pissed. Was at the hillsborough memorial today with my dad. He was at hillsborough and it's still a sore subject, and he's never been able to face the previous memorials but as it was the last anfield one we talked him into going. Met him outside the ground and we are buzzing talking about last night....then to see ur old man, ur rock, in bits today, man I was welling up and swallowing hard to keep it all in....had a few more pints, which is prob why I still feel pisssd just got home and catching up on here and watched the highlights again.

                    Seriously what the **** happened
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Sounds like a real roller coaster of emotions....glad you persuaded your Dad to go today. I have laughed, cried and generally been in a state of disbelief after the game.

I used to use a thing called the Internet public library for looking at foreign papers, presumably it's still online.

I've watched the highlights about 5 times now. It's just incredible stuff, a game that will move into legendary status if we win the trophy!

Cans injury is a massive blow though, who are our midfield options now?
