Should have been 5. Sturridge is immense. Ojo is legit!!

Wonder if it'll be kinda ressies on weekends, full team in midweeks now given the way the fixtures are panning out.

For a side patched together from the parts bin with gaffer tape that was a very decent result.

Boring then two goals and nothing from Bournemouth until it was too late to loose!

Ward did well except under a high, pressure ball but that's a Liverpool trait so welcome to the club! Ibe and Ojo were both excellent I just love Ojo - he's got a certain [insert French expression here] which is matched by his ability on the ball. I think more than ever he's going to be the next big thing for the club from the youth.

Sturridge did well could have had 4 or 5 in truth but that he was in the right place to nearly score was important. Seems to be coming back, even if he still isn't blitzing anyone. Maybe he is changing his game though to protect his body.

I thought we did well for the first 60 or 70 mins and the tired or something and they got back into it. I thought Sturridge was looking good, could have had a hat-trick, Allen was good, and I thought alot of the youngsters did well Smith, Ojo, Ibe in particular.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Ward was solid. Been saying it for ages, he's a proper keeper. Other than that, we might just have a better squad with a good manager. If Rodgers had tried to rotate this team, we would have lost, plain and simple. Sturridge is so undervalued, aubameyang turns up and everyone purrs - he is no better than Daniel. Aubameyang will have injury problems too, mark my words.

This is so true and I can't get my head around it. He doesn't even have a song and is the most prolific striker per game we've had.

Probably a mixture of hardly seeing him the past couple seasons mixed with his selfish and sulky attitude. Like the part where his back heel didnt go in and Firmino scored. Sturridge raised his hands to his head like he was disappointed instead of rushing with glee. Not that I have a problem with him mind. But will admit not having a song yet is weird.

Good performance from our second string today. Ojo is one talented lad. Started off slow, but grew into the game and really shone, although he perhaps need to look at the size of his clothing. Very fitting, given his muscular build. Ibe was much better too, and grew into the game.

Allen was good again, and will certainly have done his chances no harm with regard to earning a new contract here, or elsewhere.

That is a very good result. Very good.

Excellent result considering it was a largely experimental side.

About suggestions that he had fallen out with Ibe.
                          Are we winning?

I'm saying it quietly but top 4 is still on in my books. Just need to beat Everton then it's definitely on. Our game in hand puts us above West Ham and Utd are an irrelevance despite their fake position; their fixture list is a nightmare.

Would have been if Skrtel at Southampton didnt happen but it's just too much now given the goal difference, we need them to drop points in 3 fixtures while we win every game.
