    [EL] Villarreal (A): Pre Match

I'm throwing this up early as they play tonight against Real Sociedad at 7.30 so a chance to have a look if you fancy.

They've not been that clever in the Premiera League recently beating only struggling Getafe and midtable Eibar in their last 8 games.

We have to keep it together. All this **** surrounding Sakho, injuries, Mignolet being ****, yesterday's second half, etc., must not affect the players mentally. Even the squad we have left is still better than Villarreal's, so if we go in the way we're able we should be fine.

    ---------Miggsey Mouse-------
    Clyne---Lucas--Lovren--Moreno
    -----Allen-------Milner----------
    -Lallana----Coutinho---Firmino-
    -----------Sturridge--------------

    or

    --------------Mignolet-----------
    Clyne---Kolo--Lovren--Moreno
    -----Allen-------Lucas----------
    -Lallana----Coutinho---Milner-
    -----------Sturridge--------------

Or maybe Sakho's B sample proves to be clean and he'll play on Thursday rather than two years from now

What would we expect their team to be on Thursday? Presumably they'll be resting a few tonight in anticipation. I hope Areola is their goalie, he's a bit of a tit.

Who are the players we need to be most concerned about?

I think Denis Suarez is meant to be good. I hope Bonera plays, because he is atrocious. The rest I don't really know that well.

Nobody really stood out, I suppose they're thinking about our game? Based purely on watching one game I think we should be okay, we'll play a much higher tempo and we'll put them under more pressure than Real Sociedad did (who looked more likely to score of the two teams).

Just had a look at the line up, they didn't save anyone for Thursday.

                  Flashscore wasn't too impressed

Let's hope the managers of both teams will be able to stir the players to a much bigger passion in the next matches. So far the game presented by them have lacked any interesting and exciting moments. The performances of the both teams were more or less balanced. It's obvious that defence had the highest priority for the home side, whereas the away side's tactic was counter-attacking.

Was a ****e game alright, **** all happened. Strong line up, cunts let me down too thought with that line up they'd beat Sociedad.

Villarreal's goalie was called into action a couple of times and he looked decent. Soldado did nothing. They had a free kick in the first half which hit the crossbar. If we're at our best then we have nothing to fear (based purely on one game!).

8 years since I went to Villareal for the preseason friendly and met Rafa, Del Bosque, and the whole squad as they were staying in the same hotel. Only Skrtel left from that particular squad. Quite a turnaround only him and Lucas left from that era?

They do press well to be fair to them. Was surprised they played such a strong side but they are in that awkward situation where they are in such a good position in the league.

in reality I think over the last 2 ties, we beat the jammiest ****in team going and the best team in the europa league. So if we don't now get to the final it will be down to LFC being ****e as opposed to Villareal being good.

I think it is a good thing that we are at home second leg again. They will bring about 1000 fans max to anfield so the place should be really rocking.

I would like to see Lucas and Allen in midfield with Milner, Coutinho and Lallana all behind Sturridge. But i have a feeling that Klopp might drop Allen and put Milner in CM......and maybe play Firmino.....

I'm just ****in happy that our season isn't already over - which it would have been had Brendan still been in charge.

Keep an eye on Bakambu. He can be unplayable when in the mood.
