Good win, pleased for the players that came in. Could have scored a lot more but there was some really stupid decision making up front - doesn't matter

It's hard to think of positive things to say about the game other than the fact that we won. Mignolet made some good saves, Skrtel was a bit better than usual, Ojo looked lively, Firmino was quality when he came on and Joe Allen is still a very good player.

Decent that. Allen, Stewart, Cout, Firmino, Brannagan are gods. Benteke played well too and Mig's save was great.

A game which confirmed all one's existing prejudices - Skrtel not good enough, Ibe no football brain at all, Benteke the square peg in a round hole. Brannagan should get more game time than he does - I like the way he is quick to use a ball, one touch and it's gone or he has got on his own bike into space. Ojo did well, good closing down to force the error that set Firmino on his way.

A win and no injuries, that's all we could ask for.

For me the game had a bit of an end of season feel to it and I couldn't really get in to it, I don't think it really told us anything we don't already know about the squad, no-one has played their way into or out of contention for a place in the final.

I expected Kevin Stewart to go down the same road Spearing did - absolute crap after a promising start. But so far he's managed to maintain a good form, fair play. Doesn't look at all out of place - unlike Flanagan unfortunately :/ understandably not the same since his injury.

Btw Allen really deserves a new contract.

I disagree he looks like a player ... dont think spearing ever looked like holding down a position .. Stewart has a shot or at the very least keeping his place in the squad .. has been nothing but composed since breaking into the first team
