      Not antagonostic, no.

      Attempted humour, yes.

I think he did actually supply the ball for Firmino

Who ran twenty yards, beat two defenders and scored from the edge of the box. I thought Ojo played well, but he didn't set up a goal.

It was given as an assist. You can argue semantics all you like but it was given to him as an assist for statistical records.

Sure, assist stats can be misleading, and in this case, wrong.

Perhaps. However it was given to him. You need some sort of decision basis to award assists and the final pass before the goal is scored is how it's done at the moment.

I know, but when the stats are used to suggest his impact has been greater than it has been, i think it's worth giving them more than a passing glance, especially when the 'sample size' is small.

I agree about them being used to show the impact. It was pass with a huge amount to do, very hard to actually say how much influence he had on that goal being scored.

Put it this way, if Ojo hadn't pressed the left back, Firmino wouldn't have scored that goal (he might have scored a different one - but he might not have and we'd have been hanging on in a tense climax)

Let's give Benteke a pat on the back for a run too then.

Anyway, Firmino did well for the goal. Ojo had a decent game, Benteke wasn't awful.

As I said, I hope he keeps improving & I certainly haven't written him off. I had hoped for a bit more from him & maybe I'm being unfair to him. He's young & he's got time on his side so I hope to see him start the last 2 prem matches & let's see how he goes.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

                                Ibe is 20
                                Ojo is 18.

Posters on here complaining because their decision making isn't good enough, or consistent enough.

Same ones rave about Coutinho (who's 23) yet he usually gives the ball away all the time and scores 1 in 10 shots.

Whatever happened to giving young players time to develop
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
