Posters on here complaining because their decision making isn't good enough, or consistent enough.

Same ones rave about Coutinho (who's 23) yet he usually gives the ball away all the time and scores 1 in 10 shots.

Coutinho only gives the ball away a bit because he's constantly trying to make things happen & sometimes on a different wavelength to other players. Would rather a player do that than play safe all the time. Fabulous talent.

Theres a few dickheads on here who write off every young player, Sterling, Can, Hendo, Lucas etc etc all had it when they were young. Coutinho is god though and not exactly ancient himself.

i wouldnt be surprised to see Barcelona come in with a bid for Phil Coutinho in the summer. For me, he would be a perfect replacement for Iniesta. And no doubt Suarez and Neymar will tell the barca bigwigs the same.....

And IF barca did sign him, then they would play him much deeper..... with 3 or 4 players in front of him making movement.....

I don't know how he feels about Coutinho - but I think the same, and I love Phil.

Not saying his shooting / dribbling success rate is a problem, it's understandable considering he is basically the guy who has to make stuff happen for us when we need a goal or when our attacking play isn't flowing the way we'd want to, but strictly technically speaking he does waste a lot of balls. The comparison with Ibe and Ojo probably isn't the best though, precisely because of their different roles in the team.

Considering how many times he's kept us going and saved our ass, I'd say let him keep doing it.

Buy someone like Xhaka to play in the centre with Can, and then drop Coutinho back as part of the midfied trio

It's not a dislike it's an opinion that he should be doing better.
He flits in and out of games, does something spectacular every 3 or 4 matches and gets a free pass for the rest of the time.
For us to kick on to be consistently top 4 Coutinho needs to produce more goals and assists that win points.

The signs are that he's becoming more consistent under Klopp but when you compare him to Lallana or Firmino (for example) he isn't miles better or more effective (in outcome) yet doesn't get anywhere near the same level of scrutiny or criticism from supporters.

He's a talented player that I would like to see produce more week in, week out, that's hardly a dislike.

Who's complained about Ojo? He's hardly played and looks pretty exciting.

And the criticism of Ibe isn't specific to his decision making, which is currently poor, he's just not very good at anything and we will not help ourselves by keeping him in the first team next season.

yeah think the same myself. He would as close to a replacement for Iniesta as they would get. We aren't going to have him forever so enjoy him whilst you can. Gifted, would have about 30 assists per season with Barca

Basically thinks he shouldn't be starting for us and generally is pretty **** (I'll not bother quoting)

TBF, in isolation you could make a (weak) argument for all his points, but collectively and repeatedly, you soon see a pattern that doesn’t really have much to do with Coutinho’s ability as a player.
