Alonso's well in with a shout if this poll is based on form for the last 12 months. Overall though, he clearly shouldn't be keeping company with some of the dross on that list. He still gets pipped to the post by Bellamy for me though. Biggest waste of 6m I've seen at LFC.

I think they might offer something in the future but Bellamy, Pennant and Aurelio have, as yet, all done sod all for us. I would say that having seen Bellamy and Pennant do well in the PL before, that they are the most likely to turn it round.

I think we should probably give everyone until the end of the season to prove themselves though. So far this season no one in the squad has covered themselves in glory.
