Karius has done well (and I’ve been critical in the past).

What do people think? Do we need a new first choice keeper? Does Karius deserve a season (2018/19) as first choice?

He's been more than decent for us, keep this up over the next 12 or so matches then no I don't think we do.

On current form we could get by with Karius, but I think we’ll still be looking to upgrade if a deal can be done. Puts us in a strong bargaining position though if he keeps up this form. Southampton were able to name their price for VVD as they knew we were desperate and Roma (if true) probably thought the same about Alisson. With Karius playing well though, we can make them a fair offer and if they take the piss, genuinely threaten to walk away and it probably wouldn’t be the end of the world.

Probably harsh on Karius if he does finish the season strongly, but if he’s not willing to fight for his place then we should maybe a make a few quid selling him, on the back of this good form.

I'd say we'd probably get £15m - £20m for him at most. He cost just short of £10m and it's not as though he's done much to bump his price up, even with the market going crazy.

Begovic is having a mare at Bournemouth this season, given what they gave us for Ibe and Brad Smith we should be on the blower to them trying to flog Mignolet this summer
