Kasper Schmeichel had won the league.
      Oh I don't know.

Believe me Bob, I am laughing.

What's not to smile about, it's Friday.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He conceded 14 in 19 last season, he translates those numbers over a season, or even a little worse and it’s plenty enough to win a league regardless of how much people on here despise him.

Because it's a forum Bob and discussion kind of relies on exchanging views

He's not as bad as some think. OK, he made a huge mistake in a huge game. But that happens, De Gea made a single save during the World Cup. The odds are just as high that he recovers from the mistake and puts it behind him, but for that to happen, all the fans need to support him.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I don't care if he stays as long as we buy quality players in other positions. If we do that we can have a go at the title. Thought he was good enough before the CL final and if it really was concussion, then **** it he deserves another chance.

The problem in my eyes is that right now there doesn't seem to be much movement as far another quality CB, playmaker and forward are concerned. To me Shaqiri is just barely acceptable as backup, Fekir (if we even are still in for him) worries me coz of his knee, and there's no mentioning of us even looking at a CB since those spurious Lascelles/Tarkowski links.

The current squad is neither big nor strong enough to challenge for the league this year. Keita and Fabinho are great additions, but right now we have one midfielder less than at the start of last season. Then we have Shaqiri replacing Ings, Butland or Ward replacing Mignolet, and we're back to the squad depth that saw us with some 13 healthy senior players towards the end of last season.

Either the club are working in secret like with Fabinho, or we can already start planning the great summer rebuild of 2019, when some of our top players inevitably leave after another trophyless year.

I get this Chris and was 100% happy for him to start this year as no1 pre champions league final. My only worry/doubt is how he handles the intense structiny from the pundits, the derision from opposition fans and worst of all the fume that will erupt if he makes any mistake from our own fans.

I think he is talented and pre champions league final if he continued to grow then he had a shot - what this boils down to now is his ability to put it behind him and be mentally strong.....that's what I'm not sure of.

He certainly looks as if he has a fair bit of self confidence.

Releasing videos of himself running and eating ice creams etc in a blatant attempt to noise up the fanbase etc.
                    Modifying post.

There were games at the end of last season that Warwick Davis could have played and we wouldn't have conceded. He's poor IMO but like yourself I think there are bigger fishes to fry. Clubs like Barca and Real had worse keepers and won **** loads, all out attack is where its at; who wants to see a GK save their team again and again.

We didn't have a dodgy keeper last season

I hope we see him continue to improve as we did in the whole of last season

He seems confident enough to not let the slavering knuckle dragging masses get to him regardless, but this reinforces that there is no justification anyway
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Could be the making of him. He comes back from the **** up of the CL final and he can come back from anything.

No doubt he is at a cross-roads in his LFC career - and probably he football career too. But lets get behind the guy - and it might just propel him to being a top guy.

I think we need to realise that he only turned 24 two weeks ago. He could be a top goalie in a couple of years time. And with VVD marshalling the defence - a defence that has a greatly improved midfield in front of them now - then as a unit I think we will be okay.

If he isn't good enough, then Klopp will sort it out one way or another.

Chelsea/Utd/City/Real M/Barca/Bayern/Spuds all have something in common that we don't.
