The most frustrating thing, for me, was that they was entirely beatable.

We didn't get spanked by Madrid or Barca, it was another mid-table team, who have barely put an away win together all season.

We should've grabbed them by the balls, instead we looked like a rabbit in headlights.
The times they are a changin'.

Agreed, thats whats annoying me today aswell. I'm sure there'll be a wankfest somewhere because they are Spanish, have won it 3 in a row bla bla but they looked ****ing crap and have done most of the times I've seen em this season. And they dominated us for a half and beat us. Its infuriating. We've beaten 3 better teams along the ****ing way!!

Our big problem is we lack leadership, I don't like going on about it but it's a serious problem if you think back a few years we had Gerrard, Carragher, Hyypia, Alonso, Mascherano, Kuyt etc any of whom if you put into this side would be captain. If playing last night thosse types of players would be pulling people together getting them to focus and not panic and play our way back into the game, last night we didn't have that we had a bunch of headless chickens panicing when the goal went in and didn't know what to do we totally lack direction and leadership in those regards.

Last night Milner was captain, now he's an experienced guy but he IMO isn't captain material but look beyond him and who else would you have? The answer is no-one really Henderson (who wasn't fit to start) I personally don't think is great captain material but when you look around the rest of the squad there aren't many options, he is the best we have. I'd like to see us bring in players in the summer who are leaders on the pitch, who as well as being good players are mentally strong, because we really lack that more than anything at the moment.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

imo Klopp will literally rip this entire team up,now he knows there incapable at the highest level.....it's been a season trait not being able to hold on to a winning position and conceding asap

I'm still livid with that whole shambles of a performance and that dickhead Moreno. We played the best teams in the competition and did it the hard way only to ****ing bottle it when it mattered. The only saving grace is that this team will be ripped up and Klopp will put together a great side.

Time and time again this team has shown it's lack of fight and spine many times and most notably against Villa at Wembley, the league cup final and last night.

Sevilla were nothing more than a long ball team and we has control of them until **** for brains decided to help his ex team mates out.

This is the third cup final on the run we've lost now and that is simply unacceptable for Liverpool FC.

He moved his arm towards the ball and when that didn't work he put the knee in to him. Ridiculous.

It's possible that we would have gone on to score more, but overall it would have only resulted in a 1-0 lead. Which we conspired to feed into the shredder anyway.
We could have gotten all 3 penalties, scored taken a 3-0 at half time and still lost. Once the opposition turns on the pressure, we are in deer in headlights mode. There are no limits on the number of goals the opposition can score when we are in such a mode.

beyond gutted ive called these lads bottlers a few times on the big occassion, i'm not sure if we did yesterday, im not sure what happened tbh, they came the blocks in the second half much better than us and seemed to take us by surprise, and the players and Klopp never reacted to it.

I felt beforehand Moreno, Can, Coutinho could be the players who decided the result and it seems so.

horrible that there is no next game and for this result to linger for 11 weeks until the new season. No CL and money, but hopefully the pain of this result, and a clear run at the league next season. next year is our year

Good to see someone understands the concepts of time and consequence. As though your actions have no consequence on future outcomes.

We might have scored three more after that penalty, they might have felt aggrieved and got a player sent off in protest, we might have gotten complacent and let them win...

Fortunately many of our players can erase this loss with the memories of glorious failure while playing for Bodgson's Bangers.

Ref was ****. Moreno was ****. But at the end of the day the best team won, and they won because we've got no spine. We've not adequately replaced Carra, Gerrard and Suarez, and we won't become a great team again until we do. Up front we might be OK, we might not. But we definitely, definitely, need a commanding centre half, and a commanding centre midfielder. A competent left back and a keeper would be a bonus, but we won the European Cup with Dudek and lots with **** left backs. The spine has to be the priority.
