Can we not just send Chris down to arrange a straightener with some of their top boys?

I visit the RAOTL forum which is primarily used by scousers and they have a thread wanting Hull to win, theres a few in there who don't like Wednesday it seems.

Interesting stuff this, and its somehting I was curious to ask Kenneth about. I used to work with Sheffiled Wednesday fans a few years ago and maintained contact with some of them after I left that workplace. I have deleted them since the outcome of the Hillsborough inquests - the opinions coming from them in relation to Liverpool fans were as bad as anything I've ever read, worse than some of those dribbling from the gums of Chelsea fans. I had always put their dislike of Liverpool down to the 80's and the fact that LFC were never off the tele, but for this group of people, it was malevolently Hillsborough related - they were absolutely adamant that the fans were at fault and there was no reasoning with them, even in th eface of everything that was apparent from the outcome.

Some of their opinions were downright disgusting. Glad Hull beat them today.

I'd dispute that the tragedy brought about the demise of SW on the pitch too. They won the League cup in 91 having won nothing for about 40 years and reached the final of both domestic cups in 93.

That team they had with Chris Waddle and David Hirst was their absolute high water mark. Absolute **** that Hillsborough caused their demise, they weren't relegated until 1998.

They played a role in what happened and tried to brush it under the carpet. I am delighted they flopped today and hope they never come back. A lot of their fans I've come across on the internet and that are very weird about it aswell.

Theres plenty of decent people that support them no doubt but I hope they stay down there personally.

But then they came straight back up and I'd of thought the early 90's was their most successful period in recent times - a league cup win, a third place finish, contested a cup double in 93.

Not saying he's wrong, but as I remember they only really started to struggle in the later part of the 90's before getting relegated in 2000.

My memory, and eyesight, clearly aren't what they were. Especially after vodka.

                        And Des Walker, brilliant defender.

I think they had a very good keeper too?

Chris Woods was in goal for them back then.
