    Team and atmosphere for Wednesday

Are we likely to play a strong-ish side to win the group, and what is the atmosphere likely to be like?

I think we need a win to get some confidence to be honest, so i hope we have a half decent side out there.

Rafa had already said he'd be playing some young players to give them experience.

Peltier then, to give Finnan a break?
And maybe Warnock is still labelled young, even if he isn`t anymore.

If we were flying in the premiership rather than playing the way we have been then I would say fair enough, play some of the kids. But as it stands, Rafa is under pressure and he cannot afford another embarrassing result so I expect him to scrap this idea of handing out starting places to some of the less experienced members of the squad. I have a feeling that Rafa is going to field a very strong side against PSV.

I think there will be a couple of young players on the bench but the starting XI will be full strength. However i think there is a case for giving Peltier a games as we need competition for Finnan and unless he gets games then we will neber know if he is good enough. Can't see the point in playing any young players who aren't challenging for a starting place - so I guess that limits the options to Agger, Palletta & Peltier. No one would even bat an eyelid if we played Agger as he is now a first team player - none of the other young players look good enough as yet.

I agree with that analysis. I think Rafa was definitely planning on playing some younger players after the Bordeaux game, but recent events dictate that he starts with a strong side tonight and goes all out for a morale-boosting win.
Would be very interesting to see Peltier get a run out in a game like this. He was impressive against Brum, but this is a big step up.
