Two games in and the same deficiencies are still present in the team.

      I refuse to accept it.

      We will be back.

Maybe not under the JH theory of football dominance, but one day 'Toe to toe'. Wonder if he realised how much they'd be spending.

I was watching football focus today and Karen Bradey was being interviewed about west hams stadium and she said something to the effect of "As an owner of a football club you can have the biggest and best stadium in the world but if you don't have the best team you have failed".

        Spot on that imo.
Tell Klopp then, he asked for certain players and they've been bought, if he wanted a 25m left back he'd have one.

We're in the lower bracket, like it or not. Our biggest purchase this summer was Mané at 30 odd million and biggest ever was Wor Andy at 35m, meanwhile Everton spent 28m on Lukaku a few years back and 25 on Bolasie this season while Crystal Palace have spent 30 on Benteke. These are the clubs at our financial level it would seem.

All the while United can spunk 90 on one player.

The manager is top class and that would be enough to make the difference in a league where he was the best manager around but quite simply he's not, he's one of the best in the premier league but those with more money than us also have a guy at the helm who are in the very top bracket.

We need the perfect storm like Leicester got last season to win the league, we won't be in the hunt otherwise. We are stuttering now which would be fine if the others were too but the two Mancs and Chelsea, despite looking ****e, are landing the points.

Still massively early doors though and everything is still possible for me but the days of LFC being guaranteed title chasers season in, season out are long, long gone. I'm not even sure massive wealth would change it but it's the only thing we haven't got so it's worth a go!

They aren't going to do a City or Utd and throw money at multiple quality players over a season or two in order to get back into the CL, and when in the CL, continue adding the very highest rated players that come at a very very high price.

Mainly because we can't afford it i suppose.

But we all knew that; right ?

Think Burnley hurt today, especially after the high of beating Arsenal, a few wins on the trot and we'll all feel better.

Once you go above £30-35m you are looking at players that won't go anywhere that doesn't have CL football, so not being in Europe we are fishing in the same pond as 'the rest' of the PL clubs, but we should be able to get the best of them.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Read something about the top 30 wealthiest clubs in the world next year will include all 20 premier league clubs. Without being able to buy the world's best player's we aren't getting to the top of that pile on a regular basis without a massive amount of good fortune and it certainly won't be a regular occurrence even if we manage it.

We'll just have to put 4 past every one and hope the lads at the back can keep it to 3

                                Went to City and Utd.

Thing is, every top player knows they'll be paid some of the top wages in football at those clubs, and the clubs will go all out to win the big trophies by trying to sign the very best.

They see a constant commitment to being successful, no fannying about.

But as i said earlier, they can afford it.
