True but you get the exact same transport problems with midweek games and many Sunday afternoon ones too.

At least on a Friday many won't have work the next morning after arriving home in the early hours.

I like the idea of Friday night football. For me personally i'm knackered after the week and I do be fit for the bin come evening time on Friday anyways. The missus is gone back to Wales for the weekend so i'm going to sit down and watch the match tonight with my dad, have a few cans of Guinness and a take out..... not going to lie I can't ****ing wait!

Manc supporters been in hiding all week, be nice to shut up the Chelsea fans for awhile too.

That's just plain awkward, the match just becomes something you have to squeeze in
between doing other things.

Saturday 12.30 kick offs are worse. Saturday 5.30 terrible. Monday nights, annoying. Thursdays, rubbish.

This is my point. There is no routine. I want to pigeon hole my hobbies. I don't want my hobbies to pigeon hole me. Friday night was the last reliably non football related evening of the week. Now even that has gone.

Football has long been something you have to squeeze in between doing other things. I hate that. Other things are more important.

One always makes exceptions for cup finals, and rightly so.

It's the disruption to the previous 9 months (or sometimes years) that's the problem.
