They must have been aware of all of this when signing him so they thought they could work on the crossing element? Oh for a young Pep Reina!
Thanks - more or less as I thought then. I'm not sure how much or how quickly you can train a keeper to deal with crosses, but I imagine that it isn't a quick process. At the moment that is a glaring weakness in his game and teams will target it, especially as our defence aren't particularly good in such situations and we are terrible at defending set-pieces. This looks very much to be our achilles heel this season.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We are a joy to watch at time, and some day soon, we'll score from most of the chances we create.
I can't see it myself. As teams are starting to genuiningly fear us so are playing this 6 at the back bull****.

I think it's fair not to play open against us but to defend as deep as they have in the last two games will make it hard to break through.

No idea, but Karius was the same in Germany when it came to crosses. Flapped quite a bit and often mistimed/misjudged where to be when a cross was coming in.

It is something that Klopp would have been aware of when getting the player in though, and I can only assume that Klopp thinks that with experience and a little bulking up that Karius can improve on that side of his game.

Think concentration may be a bit of an issue too as Karius would rarely have had so many games in a row with so little to do as he is having with us.

Said in a longer post in one of the other threads some time back (maybe the Karius thread?) that his style of keeping is much closer to that of the more high profile Spanish keepers of recent years than that of his German counterparts and he has shown nothing in a Liverpool shirt to change that opinion.

Do think he will come good though, and if his errors/misjudgements can be ironed out without costing us games (and unlike Mignolet he seems a lucky keeper in that his mistakes to date are not costing us points), then I think we will have a keeper who will bring aspects of what Reina brought to the team ( though not to the same level methinks) coupled with the sort of agility that the likes of De Gea shows ( and not saying that he will automatically be as good)

I feel dirty saying this but i am thinking this team has remnants of Scum under fergie. Never say die, fight till the end and real team unity and not bothered if they opponenets score as we score more, Klopp almost laughed off the goal we let in

Obviously Its not a team full of cunts like United but think teams are genuinely starting to fear us now., Can see us going all season unbeaten at home as well.

I was paraphrasing. He did mention it more than once i.e. 'can Liverpool play like this against the bigger teams' 'can Liverpool play like this against the Chelseas, the Arsenals...'. He sounded concerned to me
              Another MASSIVE game

I know Karius is looking shaky but I can see why Klopp prefers him, he's getting better at keeping the tempo up, as soon as he gets the ball he trys to release it quickly so we get forward again. He's played what five games? I'll give him a season or two and see how he gets on with crosses.

Souness has basically said the same thing now on Super Sunday. Liverpool have to turn up in the big games. What do you call winning away to Arsenal and Chelsea and gettng a draw at Spurs.

Karius is a massive concern but as long as we keep sticking them in the other end and he doesn't cost us points he can have time to settle in.

We are starting to look and play like a machine....loving it!

The improvement this season is in our possession play. We have so much of the ball and our pressing is so good that teams have trouble getting anywhere close to our defence.
                          Are we winning?

I'm absolutely made up people are saying united getting a draw at Anfield is a masterclass. How the mighty have fallen.

I didn't think our pressing was that great yesterday

Thought we looked a little laboured yesterday at times but when we did go through the gears we looked good

Think we have set the bar quite high at times this year didn't quite hit it yesterday though (at least not for me)

9 league games in, and none of the strikers have scored or the player playing in centre of the front 3 and our top scorer is equal with Etienne Capoue and Joe Allen
