I don't think you could to be honest, the league is too competitive to allow sentimentality. Substitute places are too precious to allow someone in to play a few minutes for even five matches.

Couldn't agree more. Gerrard coming back is just people holding onto memories and emotions for one of Liverpool's greatest players. This is fine in fantasy land but now we have to move on.

I didn't jinxed it! It was a real treat to see that many goals after not being there for such a long time. The main stand was impressive and my view was fantastic, right on the the 18 yard line of the Kop end. The hospitality was a bit naff. I loved how much the city itself has changed, nice regenerations of some areas. Saturday had the fireworks on the river and the docks was packed. I'll try not to leave it another 22 years to return!
