The defence was a ****ing shambles and anyone who says otherwise is talking utter ****e. Matip appears to be the only defender who had a cool head. Without him in there it goes to ****. Karius was horrendous in that second half and based on that performance I wouldn't be surprised to see Mignolet get a re call.

Some lessons in believing our own hype. We were over run and out fought for the last 20 mins, when we clearly thought the game was won. Some lessons for sure.

But,

We've been on a good run, so we need to shrug this one off and get back on it and we were great in the majority of the first half. Make this game a blip, the same as the Burnley one was. Klopp will get stuck onto them for sure.

Worried about the keeper, and hope we go all in for Van Dyck in Jan.

I'd rather see Sakho back that Lucas play at CB again. Karius hasn't done a thing since he's come in to convince me he's the answer long term. He's no better than Mignolet. I'm genuinely gutted about that performance but it's happened time and time again.

Only hint of a consolation is that is only our first loss in all comps since the 20th August, so another long unbeaten run would consign today to being just a bad memory.

I suppose we should remember that City lost points yesterday. We can't win every game and just have to put this result behind us. **** result undoubtedly.
