[PL] West Ham HOME Buildup Thread

A nice home game after a tricky/strange away fixture.

Hopefully a good week of training with Klopp will sort the lads out.

This fella will fancy a goal for them though...

    Modifying post.

they are under pressure. If Bilic makes them sit 11 men behind the ball, then it might not go as easily as people think. Also, they have players like Payet that will be dangerous at set pieces. I can imagine Andy Carroll being up for throw ins, corners and free kicks and fancying his chances of getting a goal or two....

As with every game, we will need to score 2 or 3 to be in with a chance of winning the game - i cant see us keeping a clean sheet....

Hopefully Matip and Lallana are fit to start the game. It would be nice to have Sturridge at least on the bench too - who knows he might get a chance to impress his new employers!!!

Agree with all of this but conversely if we score early their heads might drop and we could batter them!

        fingers crossed.....

If we were to get a goal after, say 20 minutes, and then were able to follow it up with a second goal another 2 minutes later, then the game should be safe as hou........oh wait

In reality we will know a lot about our team this weekend. We play at 4:30 on sunday. All of our rivals will have played and we will probably be 7 points behind Chelsea, 4 behind Arsenal and 3 behind City going into the game. It is also possible that we will have Spurs level on points with us (not sure who i want to see win between them and the Mancs.......probably a draw).

So no matter what happens, we will be under big pressure going into the game. Coupled with the fact that (you would hope) that our players are hurting after the Bournemouth cluster****, then hopefully we will see a huge performance from our team. Would love to see us make a proper statement - 4 or 5 goals and hungry as **** for more......

Mané isn’t facing a lay-off. He returned to training in Barcelona today. Joel Matip also trained after missing Bournemouth. (James Pearce)

I get satisfaction that the stadium is terrible though.

                  I wouldn't want it.
                  Oh I don't know.

I think they're quite content doing that to each other....

                      true.....

but after all the scum bags causing trouble there, i would love to see them have to play to an empty stadium for a few games. Would serve them right.

Gold and Sullivan painted themselves as "west ham people" but i think they see a brilliant opportunity to sell the club. Get a **** load of corporate bods up from canary wharf and the revenue will rise. What they didn't probably count on though is the fact that Andre Ayew and Feghouli as your summer signings aren't exactly going to swing it.

Would feckin love to see them go down....

My first time at Anfield since I watched Alberto Aquilani tear it up* against Bolton almost seven years ago.

*he was utter, utter ****e yet managed an assist.

                          Liverpool that day:

                          25 Reina
                          16 Kyrgiakos
                          22 Insua
                          23 Carragher
                          37 Skrtel
                          04 Aquilani (Lucas 65)
                          08 Gerrard
                          11 Riera (Maxi 74)
                          20 Mascherano
                          18 Kuyt
                          24 Ngog (Babel 84)

Bloody hell we were lucky to have someone of Mascherano's quality in that team. Also was this that period of time when Skrtel played a few games at RB? Horror show...

Klopp: "West Ham will be a tough challenge for us, it will be an interesting game, but we will be angry."West Ham want the points and that makes me angry just thinking about it."
