I remember looking at our bench for several games at the beginning of the season and thinking wow, we've got people that can come on and change the game here.

    Today we had nothing.

Don't get me wrong the 3 kids are great prospects but they aren't there to come on and make a difference in games like today. They are there to gain experience.

The squad suddenly looks really thin.

Klopp couldn't do anything to change the game today. He just had to hope the players on the field could figure it out.

Firmino is less good out wide than he is up front. We aren't as fluid as we were when it was Firmino, Mane, Coutinho and Lallana.

Still, I'm optimistic. If we can cut out the errors we'll be back on it. It's annoying though. Because we did enough to win both these games. Arguably our only really poor performance was away at Burnley.

I think the disappointment is coming from our hope of pushing for the league, when our squad is lacking winners, which makes it much different from Chelsea, who have experience of winning.

Our Hollywood football is a bit toothless without the leading man.

It still looks quite nice at times, but the genuine top quality is missing.

Has Kariius not done something really ****e in a game yet?

Yep, errors are our problem. Anything else we're doing okay. We're playing well and having lots of possession and chances.

We'll miss Mane badly when he goes next month I guess. His direct running and pace is a huge factor in the way we dominate games. I'd hoped we got as much points as possible before he goes away.
            Are we winning?

Yeah agree re Mane going to African cup thing....we really need to spend in the window to get another pacy/attacking goal threat....even more so with ings being out and Sturridge being Sturridge

                Mane is so good.

He looks a threat every time he is on the ball. I can't believe how 'meh' I was when we signed him. He's got to be the best signing in the league so far this season.

Frustrating. It feels like we've lost our momentum. Clearly we're missing Coutinho, but we shouldn't be so reliant on one player when we have better alternative attacking options than we have for a long while. A few weeks ago I said that we needed to stick with Karius, now I'm not so sure. It's a real pity we didn't take Hart on loan during the summer. We need to put together a string of wins now.

Mane is going to be a massive miss, as is Coutinho at the moment.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Looks like another season of failure. I fully expect us to get top 4 but I don't see that as any reason to celebrate. Don't get me wrong, I see plenty of progress from the team and we do play some great stuff at times. It's far from a disaster. It's just I don't see our progress as ever being able to outdo the money the others have. It will be another season without the title. There are a lot of similarities between us and arsenal. Lots of tippy tappy trying to walk it in. Soft as **** underbelly. Both have stubborn managers who seem to dislike spending money. Both struggle to understand the importance of a keeper.

I wish he would have thrown the youngsters on for ten minutes.

Every single one of us would have setlled for the position we are in now if asked at the start of the season. And I see no reason why we won't go on another run and get up near the top again. It's a strong league and any team that lets its guard down at all will drop points against pretty much any team in the League. Chelsea and Arsenal are playing well... but we have beaten them both AWAY.

I don't understand all the negativity at all.

We need a world class central midfielder. Henderson and wijnaldum are not.

I'd be gutted with a top 4 position. Of course I'd take it, but we have a chance of winning it and arguably our best yet! It is frustrating.

We are definitely in with a shout. Why not? If Leicester can do it then anyone can.
