I think it stems from being top 3 weeks ago and now we find ourselves 6 points off the pace after a run of winnable games. It's 5 points dropped from Bournemouth and the West Ham games. It is deeply frustrating.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostEvery single one of us would have setlled for the position we are in now if asked at the start of the season. And I see no reason why we won't go on another run and get up near the top again. It's a strong league and any team that lets its guard down at all will drop points against pretty much any team in the League. Chelsea and Arsenal are playing well... but we have beaten them both AWAY.
I don't understand all the negativity at all.
We will be on a run again but I fear that it'll be too much to do when that happens. The next 2 games are crucial. We need 6 points off Boro and the derby games. Are we winning?

I know. It's surprising that I'm surprised. I'm still totally enthusiastic about this team
clearly it would be great if we won every game 6-1, but leagues aren't won that way. We need to ride it out when things aren't going our way, and were good enough to win a few big games back to back.
Even today at times our passing was sublime, particualrly in the first 20 mins.Modifying post.

Show me a team in the top 4 who boasts a world class central midfielder. Maybe City with Yaya but he's got his flaws.Originally posted by kubrickscube View PostWe need a world class central midfielder. Henderson and wijnaldum are not.
I think we're okay in that department. Our possession stats shows that they are controlling games more often than not. Wijnaldum is a good player and his running into the box is excellent. He just need more end product to his game. As for Henderson, I like him.
Klopp will surely add more quality in time, but for now I'm happy. I'd rather we ensure we have a top class goalkeeper and maybe another quality winger to deputise for Mane, but I think that Klopp may promote from within if he cannot find what he wants in January. Are we winning?

But I'm not throwing the towel in. And neither it seems are you
On our day. We are the best team in the League, on our day I think we beat everyone. That must put us in with a chance?
(Ultimately We all know when the recent form arrived - it was when Dom got all positive during the Bournemouth game
get Dom moaning again and the planets shall realign).
Modifying post.

Think we all have a hint of disappointment in us at the moment.
We had a **** start to the season with away games and came thru it brilliantly against the so called top teams.
Got ourselves top and then have thrown two games away in a row by not being able to defend a lead and i dont just blame the defence for it ,
It seems like we are all over the place in the middle of the park when we defend as a team. Not one midfielder makes a tackle half the time.
If we don't learn the steel side of the game all the so called lesser teams going to come after us

Our next 4 games are tough ones:
Boro (a)
Everton (a)
Stoke (h)
City (h)
Chelsea have:
Sunderland (a)
Palace (a)
Bournemouth (h)
Stoke (h)
Arsenal:
Everton (a)
City (a)
West Brom (h)
Palace (a)
Can Chelsea realistically win them all, cos they've won 9/10 on the trot already, which will make that to 14. If they do, I think they'll have the league sewn up by the new year. Are we winning?
