Just reading an article on the statzone site, and it would appear that since the league went to 20 teams in 1995 the team in first place on New year's day has finished in second place more often than it has finished in 1st, and the team in second place on New Year's day has finished in first more often than it has finished in second.

Each time he plays we surrender possession cheaply. He's okay but I don't think he has the required quality long term in this team. Klopp will look to have a Gundogan type player at some stage.

It might have been a plan B but I think we just couldn't get our passing game going for any consistent period of time. City had a lot of quality and I think we gave them too much respect for my linking. But can't be too harsh as we won the game and are four points clear of second place now.
