And it was never a free kick which eventually led to the penalty.
    Are we winning?

I know Klopp keeps saying they only want to buy top quality players who will contribute long term but I would also like to see a few bodies brought in during January

We seemingly have 19 senior outfield players
Clyne, Sakho, Lovren, Milner, Klavan, Moreno, Matip
Wijnaldum, Henderson, Grujic, Lallana, Lucas, Can
Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge, Mane, Origi, Ings

Sakho is out of favour, Ings is injured, Grujic is currently injured but has barely been involved, which puts us down to 16 when everyone is available. We are essentially 1 more injury in each position away from really struggling

To add to that we have a bunch of kids:
Ilori, Gomez, Brannagan, Stewart, Ejaria, Alexander-Arnold, Ojo and Woodburn all of whom are very inexperienced and arguably 2 of the most experienced 3 (Gomez and Ojo) are just coming back from long term injuries.

We could do with a couple of quality players in the window, because with the league as tight as it is a couple of injuries could see us drop out of the top 4
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The problem is most of those shots that were on target were straight at and therefore comfortably saved by their keeper, I can't really remember him making anything beyond a routine save.

The first one from Sturrige comes to mind.

To me it looked like a standard Lucas free-kick outside the box.

Even without European football this squad is too thin

Probably most of these shots.came from sturridge who seemingly refused to pass to anyone. Selfish glory boy. Started limping off but then started walking. Had it with him a while back.

our midfield has been winging it for far too long, some decent results have flattered us and the last two games we have looked very disjointed and like strangers playing football in the dark.

****ed off notibeing able to squash these teams that others use.as target practice.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Fair enough, I had forgotten about that but most of the shots I recall were fairly routine saves.

The results in the prediction thread look hilarious in hindsight.
I think we need to remain pleased with our progress. Let's face it with our squad the league is a stretch. Top 4 still looks very achievable and we are on an upward curve. We are still a few key players short.

It will be interesting to see if Grujic, Sakho, Gomez, Ojo or any of the other youngsters get any game time in the remainder of the season and can step up to the level required and give us other options.

I agree with that. He made another good save, from close range. Other than that it was mostly straight at him.

We are second in the League though. That means only one other team has taken more points than us.

I don't get the negativity at all. It's frustrating, yes, but we'd all have accepted this position at the beginning of the season. There is only one team in the League better off than us.

I suspect if we'd lost drawn with City and won today everyone would be much happier.

Even though citeh would've been closer to us.

I think it's cos other teams below us keep winning (or being given points in scum's case).
                            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Amazing that we have fans conceding the league. Lets hope Klopp doeesnt have the same mentailty.

obviously the big one is chelsea at the end of the month if we can beat them and the gap is 6/8 points, Coutinho will be match fit and Mane returning this team can easily go on a winning run and chase Chelsea down.

If given Hobson's choice of drawing against either City or Sunderland we definitely got that right. Very worried about having Can in midfield next to Weeji. Never to seems work.

Anyway we can relax and see some youngsters in the cups for a while.
