    Plymouth (H) Build up - FA Cup - 1.30pm 8th Jan

Looking forward to the FA Cup and a distraction from the League.

Be nice to see players like Gomez get some minutes, and hopefully a return for Coutinho.

FA Cup 3rd Round weekend is always my favorite weekend for Football. Just hope we dont get to be the upset.

Plymouth are quite ****e, right? Really need Coutinho to start getting some minutes in, even if its 10-20. And we really need to rest our main players for the Southampton and then Utd games. So team:

    Mig
    TAA Lucas Klavan Moreno
    Can Stewart
    Lallana Ejaria Firmino
    Woodburn

With Gomez, Origi and Coutinho coming on to rest Lallana, Klavan and Firmino.

Matip can play a part in the Southampton game as preparation for Utd.
    One tit for another.

I reckon Karius will get a game here.

Lallana looked wrecked yesterday, but it's a good 5 days ago so he should be OK.

      Origi will start for sure.
      Modifying post.

Anyone who's gonna play Southampton then the sewage rats should be nowhere near this.

8500 bellends chanting about Gerrard is gonna be annoying man. Lets maul these cunts!!

Godmez has played ressie and behind closed doors games, he must be ready, would be amazing to see him.

I think we have alot of players who need a break, the problem is the squad is down to the bare bones.

Ideally I'd like to rest Clyne, Lovren, Lallana and Firmino, with that in mind I would be tempted to go with something like:

          Karius
          TAA Klavan Lucas Moreno
          Wijnaldum Can Stewart
          Ejaria Origi Woodburn

It would be nice if we had Gomez, Grujic or Ojo fit to be involved as well.

But in all honesty I don't see Klopp making that many changes.

what is the crack with Grujic? Is he injured???

I would like to see a totally changed team for this. Respect the competition but in reality with no europa football, then it has been difficult for Klopp to give the young players many minutes.

squad needs rotating - the first choices need a rest and the 'squad/youngsters' need game time. We have a real chance at challenging for title and we are in a semi final already.

              i'd be quite happy with

              karius

              TAA
              Lucas
              Gomez
              Moreno

              Stewart
              Can/Wijnaldum
              Ejaria

              Woodburn
              Origi
              ??
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Rotation is needed. 2 games in 44 hours, so rest most of the first teamers. No league game until the 15th against UTD. That is the priority now IMO.

Pity the semi final isn't before the fa cup game!!!

Also, don't wish to complain too much, but it is annoying that United play their semi at home on the Tuesday whereas we play away at Southampton on the Wednesday. That extra day off plus the no travel will make a difference for them.

Still though, they won't be able to play the 6-4-0 "Mourinho masterpiece" formation that they served up at Anfield.

Getting back to the FA Cup game, i wouldn't even play Wjinaldum for it. He is playing well lately and to see him limp off would be a right kick in the stones.

So for me, i would like to see:

                  --------------------------KARIUS--------------------------

                  TAA-----------GOMEZ--------------KLAVAN-----MORONO

                  ---------------------------LUCAS---------------------------

                  ----------STEWART-------------------EJARIA--------------

                  --OJO--------------------ORIGI---------------WOODBURN

Throw a few experienced heads on the bench but if the guys above have any hope in making it at Liverpool, then there should be no excuses at home to Plymouth

He was injured for a while, not sure where he's at now.

I hope we don't play a single player who started against City/Sunderland (maybe except Klavan)- they need a rest and then there's the upcoming semi and UTD games in a short space of time

I would imagine that Gomez and Ojo wouldn't be fit enough to start yet, that being the case I don't see us being able to put a team out with less than 4 regulars (probably Klavan, Wijnaldum, Can and Origi) without it being a complete youth team, which I don't think Klopp would do, I think he might start more than those 4 regulars as well.

Got to look to play the reserves in this game. We should have enough regardless.

grujic came as a decent prospect [for us] and a regular first team player for his previous team red star belgrade making 30 first team appearances last year.
why cant this lad make the breakthrough.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
