Southampton (A) - EFL Cup - Post Match Thread

You can't win 'em all. We were a little bit **** but it happens to everyone, just one of those games.

Karius (the **** useless cunt) was the best player on the pitch. In all seriousness his decision making was a lot better.

We can easily blitz them in the second leg.

Coutinho wide and Firmino in the middle on Sunday please.
The times they are a changin'.

**** performance, but not the worst result ever over 2 legs, with the second at home.

Probably need the crowd to be up for it.

They are always going to be up for playing us what with us robbing half there team every year.
    Modifying post.

Another poor day at the office. 4 in a row. Get some players in.

Also I blame the wank kit - can't remember when we've played well in it.

Poor by us, Saints sussed us out, out worked us too, wanted it more, could have been 3-0

Awful that. Just never got going and 1-0 flatters us. Not completely surprising without our best centre back, best central mid, best player a sub and paciest attacker I suppose! Thankfully they are ****ing rubbish so 1. didnt extend the lead and 2. we'll probably still go through. Pointless looking at that game in relation to Old Trafford, will be completely different thankfully.

that was so bad this thread could run for ten pages

milner karius and the ref were the best guys on the pitch.

klopp needs to run around and wave a bit more, cant just sit down and watch that piss poor effort with no response.

Steaming pile of **** but sure it happens. We ll have a stronger side in return leg and can count ourselves lucky only to be 1 down. Poor oul Lucas is shot to ****, him and Can had a giant mare. Wjnaldum didn't play well but apart from resting him for United game I can't fathom why he was taken off when the other two stayed on.

Bad day at the office I suppode, best get the fingers out for the United game. Their coming in on a roll and we're coming in on a bit of a dip.

We dominated possession but we were very poor in the final 3rd. I actually think we will miss Mane more than we did Coutinho. It was telling the lack of pace in our side without him.Plus he's direct. I do hope we can freshen it up with a couple of faces this window (unlikely as it is) as we look a little tired.

I'm confident we'll still go through

Only one nil with the second leg at anfield, we should be fine. Need to sort our heads out for Sunday though, although I think we'll **** em.

Played as if all eyes on Sunday.

Only positives were Karius, Coutinho returning, no new injuries and only 1-0 down

                            1-0 wasn't a bad result on reflection

Could and should have been a lot worse

Yeh, looked like we played within ourselves, think we'll go all out on Sunday.
