      Couple of observations:
      1) Coutinho looked up for it when he came on, sped up play, a little rusty
      2) Unusually, more poor performances than good - hoping when Karius is good, ten others don't always play under par. I'd rather have him back to being **** with ten star men
      3) That ****e greeny/yellowy kit is as bad as those yellow kits of recent past. We play terribly in it. We bossed it 6-1 in the black one, why did we change it?!
      4) Utd game on Sunday - the difference could well be Carrick controlling the tempo

Pointless looking at that game in relation to Old Trafford, will be completely different thankfully.

Besides, you were banging on last night that we were going to hammer them. Show a little respect for once not just to the opposition but to your fellow forum members too.

Seemed a bit flat and leggy still despite resting them all in the week

Not the worst result to take to Anfield but lucky it was only 1-0

Good point about the kit. It must make us easier to pick out in their periphery vision

They managed the game very easily, sat deep, gave us very little space and broke with pace. Our lack of creativity and movement in the final 3rd was a little bit worrying because it was non-existant for 90 minutes.

I'd have been tempted to try and use Moreno's pace for the last 20 minutes, but apart from that its hard to level any blame at Klopp, everyone seemed to underperform on the night.

It was telling the lack of pace in our side without him.Plus he's direct. I do hope we can freshen it up with a couple of faces this window (unlikely as it is) as we look a little tired.

I'm confident we'll still go through

The dominating possession / midfield stuff doesn't wear anymore not after Brendans last couple of seasons

You have to threaten the box / the opposition goal

Jimmy Case said something relevant a couple of years back that was applicable today "the old sides didn't want possession for possessions sake they wanted it because without it you couldn't score"

We seem to play better when we've played games in quick succession.

This whole players need a break is a load of ****e, they really don't. They are paid more than well enough and are easily fit enough to play 90 minutes every other day, ****ing hell they could probably play 90 mins every day and still not feel knackered.

I used to play 120 mins, train with the lads as normal and straight afterwards play another 60 with the work lads and I could honestly play all night and I was nowhere near as fit as some of these cunts.

Game is very different today and at the level they are

I played semi pro as a young man and have played against former LFC players. They were so much quicker, fast and physically stronger than the level I was at

I was a tough tackling player who could run all day but players who played at that level (even retired ones) were miles miles better on every level

                            The gap is huge

I think teams sit deep against us now. They let us play and close the space near the penalty area. With our pace on the counter that's the obvious thing to do.
                                Are we winning?
