Manchester United (A) - Match Build Up

Shake out those cobwebs, last night has been and gone - a poor performance that the team needs to put behind them before Sunday.

A couple of key discussion points before this one:

Karius, does he start or not? Was excellent last night but crosses are not his strong suit (or Migs in fairness) and Ibrahimovic and no doubt when Jose chucks on that lump Fellaini will be all over those.

Coutinho - Do we risk him? Made us look much better when he came on last night, is a risk though after a lay-off, think id give him an hour.

Is Matip back? Klaven is not great.

And finally, Sturridge or no Sturridge? I personally wouldnt play him, id have Origi, Firmino and Coutinho starting and for the love of god get Lallana back in midfield.

Its Thursday lads (and possible ladies if Baitman hasnt scared you off with advances and picture requests) and its nearly the weekend, ive got a **** load of work to do and im writing this instead, what a time to be alive.

Origi Cout and Firminho front three has to be doesn't it

Can, Wijnaldum and Lallana in Midfield , unless Jordan is available

We will be a different team for this one unless Jose plays for a draw which could stifle us again.

Henderson and Matip both expected in full training today. Henderson set to start at the weekend vs United.

Mignolet has been in good form and doesn't deserve to be dropped, we've won the games he has played in. OT is way to high profile a venue for Karius right now, I'd have Mig as number one for the rest of the season if his form holds.

Coutinho - Do we risk him? Made us look much better when he came on last night, is a risk though after a lay-off, think id give him an hour. I think we almost have to if he is fit enough.

Is Matip back? Klaven is not great. I hope so, he's yet to lose playing for us

And finally, Sturridge or no Sturridge? I personally wouldnt play him, id have Origi, Firmino and Coutinho starting and for the love of god get Lallana back in midfield. He was pretty poor last night, he just doesn't suit the system at all. I reckon it will be Origis turn

I really hope Henderson is fit for this. If this is the starting XI then I'm optimistic, anything less and I fear the worst.

        Mig

        Clyne
        Matip
        Lovren
        Milner

        Hendo
        Gini
        Lallana

        Firmino
        Coutinho
        Origi

Can had played himself out with his recent performances so hopefully this is the line up.

          I'd take a draw.

Mourinho will 100% park the bus against us and play long to Zlatan, it will never be reported that way though. Its a big game for both teams, with neither wanting the ignominy of a defeat. If we play as we did v. City, we can win or draw. As we did v. Plymouth or last night and we are ****ed. Utd may not play that well as a team, but they have enough individual quality to score goals.

I'm nervous. Particularly when you throw in the Referee assistance they have been receiving recently.

Shame we didn't beat them when they were awful earlier in the season.

We'll beat em with that line up, maybe have Sturridge instead of Origi on the right. I'd be disappointed with a draw.

We couldn't beat them at Anfield...also De Gea always has his best game of the season v Us.....Teams are now parking the bus v LFC,rather than play football....

There's no way their crowd will let them play for a draw like they did at Anfield.

It will be rebranded as a(nother) masterclass performance if they nick dodgy offside 1-0 against us. Make no mistake Mourinho will park the bus. Expect Mata, Martial, Rashford all on the bench. And Mikhy playing a defensive role for the quick counter off Zlatan's head.

Best thing about Sunday is its do or die for Utd, not us. So I'm happy if some of our lads can use this game to get match fitness back up (Hendo, Matip, Coutinho). We're going to need it for our upcoming home games against the top 6.

In total agreement with this. We will lose Sunday for sure, they are ****ing spawny cunts and they always do us over. We never turn up against United whether it's home or away, and dare I say it, their home support especially in this fixture is far superior to ours. At Anfield it's nearly always the away fans you can hear. I can't stand United fans, absolute ****ing bellends the lot of them. Not looking forward to it, will be a vomit fest of a game and we're bang out of form right at this moment.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

We haven't won there for a few years. Tough, tough one this which I don't fancy at all.
                        Are we winning?

Maureen will definitely be looking for a point with anything else being a bonus.

So long as we don't get mugged doing something stupid then we have as much chance as those spawny ******s of nicking a goal. (Think Danny Murphy).

I think he will go for the win, if he gets the all the points the possibilities for his team for this season changes drastically. We just need to get back to doing what we've been doing for most of the season and start building some momentum again.

The problem is Utd have found form and are on a winning run,Lfc's form has dropped and have become inconsistent, but this game is almost like a derby and a One off Game.
