Put it in perspective.........a good Premiership team comes here well drilled with a solid, well-executed game plan. They packed the centre of their defence giving us hardly any room in and around their penalty area. The only width we had was provided by our fullbacks. We could have played all week and not scored because we had nobody who could create(Coutinho isn't back to his best yet and Lallana and Firminio look a bit jaded).Then they scored with a breakaway goal (we've done that loads of times over the years!)

Yes, a big disappointment but as Stevie once said, "We go again" Beat Wolves and Chelski and we're back on track.......nearly!

I didn't think we played particularly badly, a cup semi is going to be difficult whoever we play and Saints are a good side perfectly set up for counter attacking, which the first leg set them up for.

I really expected Moreno to come on second half wide left to give us some more attacking threat and pace out wide. Not idea but could have helped. Relying on Lallana or Coutinho to play hyer-speed one/twos through 6 CBs was asking too much.

Coupled with Sturridge and Firminho looking like imposters, out attack was 'weak sauce' .
