My tuppence worth.
Southampton clearly deserved it over the two games, in fairness they should have put the tie to bed in the first leg and missed two glaring chances before we had one real chance tonight. They are a good side, well drilled and they didn't miss Fonte or Van Dijk. Romeu was superb in midfield, he won so many second balls and used it very well. A well run club who will have a fair crack off United.
The referee - it has to be said that the standard of officiating is as bad as I ever remembered, Long gave away a clear penalty by moving his arm to the ball to control it. The one at the end I'm not sure but it was never a corner. Anyway if they had taken their chances then he shouldn't have mattered.
Now onto us........we are so FLAT and have been for a few weeks now. At the start of the season the running off the ball was so good that it was the fluidity of our play that made goals, now we have reverted to death by football stuff, playing in front of teams and being forced out wide where we CROSS to nobody. It's like Moyes at United.
I don't know are the players tired, are we missing too many, are they carrying knocks or have teams figured us out but we have been **** in 2017. Maybe we started too well and we all got carried away.
Re tonight - Karius did well and TAA will be a good player although he made a few mistakes tonight but he is 18. Milner and Lovren CANNOT be long term solutions and I thought Milner in particular was poor tonight and has been recently. He is the chief crosser and unless he is being told to do it then it is wasteful.
Games like tonight showed where we lack a proper DM and a creative 6 in midfied, Can and Henderson work hard but neither of them kick someone when it matters or pass between the lines to open the play up. Hendo was very safe it his passing again tonight and it slows us down.
Coutinho is not fit but is a top player but I do wonder if the timing of his contract announcement is to gloss over the fact we didn't sign anyone....and won't this winter. Firmino is not effective out wide, Rodgers played him there and nearly ruined him and we are accommodating an under performing Sturridge which is affecting his game. In fairness Sturridge had two good chances but something is wrong with him, he can't win balls 60/40 in his favour as his pace has gone.
We are still on an upward trajectory no doubt about it but our season is starting to unravel and we are watching it go by and are doing nothing. All these players that we can't get until the summer.....who's to say they will join us when we fade and finish 6th. We are competing with Dortmund, Juve AM, Spurs and more for a particular bracket of player and City, United + Chelsea if they are a big enough prospect and all we have is Klopp. We need to get the finger out on this front because Klopp has polished a turd so far but we still have some players not good enough to get us to the next level.

Or jerking off to Italian MILFs on X-Hamster!Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostLosing the will to care now with Liverpool. The club are a massive letdown, each year is nothing but failure and disappointment. I messed up a good opportunity last weekend to spend it with the missus, some quality relaxing outdoor time and instead I watched us play. Each time I do I regret it massively. I won't be doing that again any time soon. Life is passing me by and most of it has been spent watching these useless cunts. I'm ****ing fed up with it now, they're a waste of time and football has become a waste of time, an expensive one at that. I'd much rather spend it walking enjoying nature or up a mountain somewhere.

I know the feeling man. It's **** isn't it but it we're all suckers, we're all addicted and we're in it for the long haul. What can you do.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Klopp needs to go back to firmy as the no9, 2 on Saturday playing there tells you everything you need to know.
Sturridge simply doesn't suit our system, Origi is in a slump, both shouldn't be in the 16 TBH.
Look at the last few games, Bournemouth, Southampton, Swansea, they are bringing on 17/18yr olds & trusting them. Honestly i think JKlopp needs to trust a couple of young'uns out wide & strecth the play. Leaving Couts, lala, gini & Firmy to occupy the middle.
Bin Can to the bench.
Also Hendo looks like he is carrying an injury & needs a rest.

It's wank, felt really fed up last night but I did have a few ales.
TBH I think I will give this weekend's game a miss and just head off out somewhere instead, had enough of us at the moment.

I get that totally....but it's like a drug, a few decent results and optimism is back...hooked again...

Dude, we're 4th, 2 points off second place. Now is not the time to give us a rest if you ask me.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View Post

I'd do that if we were 10th, 60 points off the pace and Roy Hodgson in charge. Are we winning?
