Not sure we really had much of a choice.

On current form I would have rather had Can in midfield than Sturridge starting up top.

Apart from Mane (great he's on the bench), arguably our strongest team. Really need our midfield to step up (still think its our weakest area) and, more importantly, we need to start scoring goals. We've been **** in front of goal over the last month.

midfield isn't great but why do Liverpool fans feel the need to vent their anger towards a 'whipping boy' (i.e. Can)? Our whole team has been shocking throughout January. Nothing to do with tactics, formations etc just incredibly poor performances.

When you see our starting line up and bench we look pretty strong.

Wouldn't surprise me if we played well today as we normally do against the top teams,

Matic & Kante in the centre is very solid so we'd have to go wide to get past them andddddddd we have no wingers. No doubt Chelsea will sit deep and catch us on the break with long balls over the top and down the channels. Standard formula vs LFC.

We really need to press high and hard and give them nothing on the ball, all depends on how toothless we are up top & how **** we are in defence. Such a pity Mane couldn't start, as that midfield of Can, Hendo & Wjini is fairly beige. Will be a tight game IMO. We really need to win so hopefully the lads are well up for it.

Can Wijnaldum and Henderson in midfield again. Small caveat of it being Chelsea but Lallana is absolutely wasted in that position.

Tend to think it's pointless having him as well as Hendo & Wiji at home. Think having the extra body up top helps us press higher.

That's probably why we're seeing a bit more of a conservative line up from Klopp. Keep it solid and take your chance when you get it. Backdoor needs to be closed tight.
