                Season loan.

                He needs to rehab his career. He’ll get games for sure, that’s been a problem for him on other loans. If he doesn’t get games here he is done.

                Hearts brought in an Everton squadie on a proper deal and he has been great.

                There will be some expectation with Woodburn.

                    You can't rule him out, he could have an amazing season and be a changed player. You only have to look at Kane's journey to see what is possible.

                      I know he's had injury problems but he's only made a total of 37 appearances in 3 previous seasons on loan, in terms of development that puts him way behind where he should be. I would say that the chances of him establishing himself with us are very slim. I feel if he is to establish himself at PL level he might have to go somewhere else for a few years and work his way back up (the Conor Coady route). Hopefully I am wrong and he takes the SPL by storm and can come back and establish himself in our squad, but as I say I would be very surprised if he isn't being loaned to get his value up with a view to getting a decent fee in a year.
