Logic fail. Don't remember anyone saying they were about to get hammered. Do remember suggesting contrary to your suggestion, there was some evidence of their midweek exertions. They started to look quite leggy chasing back early second half before quite sensibly subbing the perennially lethargic Yaya to help with it. As noted in comms and a couple of match reports. Unfortunately around that time we decided to sit back and play compact instead of continuing to go for their throats, and the momentum shifted significantly. Which I'd suggest is every so slightly more relevant in terms of the result than whether they were or weren't starting to look tired early in the second half.

was reading the other day if Utd win the europa cup and Leicester win the CL then the team that finishes 4th will NOT qualify for the CL.

Fairly sure not. If they finish outside top 4 and win they get a 5th spot but if they finish top 4 and win there is no 5th spot.

Hmm. Not sure how your logic works. We had them on the ropes for 15 minutes then they made a tactical change, which helped them get back into the game and they finished the game strongly which kind of demonstrate that if they were knackered as you suggested, then it was probably down to us playing very well during these 15 minutes when we had the upper hand.
