Carew was amazing last night and madrid couldnt handle him but i wouldnt want him here because he never does it on a consistent basis and is prone to an injury.

I havn't watched many Lyon games mate, im just throwing the idea out there. But from the games i have watched, the one man who deserves praise for Lyon being so good is Juninho. The majority of their goals are scored from his free kicks or his through-balls.
He is the player I would like msot from Lyon, himself and Fred.
As for GH, ive been scratching my head last season aswell as this season, tactically, it seems he has changed nothing since joining them. Is he afraid to mess about with tactics too much and told them to play as fluidly as they can just like they did before he joined?.
I was really expecting GH to turn Lyon into a defensive side, and they only look better than ever.
MAybe he feels the football in Frnace doesnt require as much defensive work as that of England because of the gulf in quality and time your allowed on the ball, never got to see his PSG team in action, so I cant say what that side was like.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
