He's been shocking going forwards for a few weeks now. Problem with him under performing over Firmino or Origi is that Milner has the most critical position out of all three. Teams let him receive the ball in acres of space, something they don't afford to Firmino or Origi.Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostPenalty aside, Milner did not have a good game. In fact, he seems to have hit a bad patch of form recently.
Him, Origi, Firmino were our underperformers I thought.
If an oppo team is doing that then it is an insult and shows something needs changing. If Moreno really is a no, no then put Clyne on the left and TAA at RB.One tit for another.

it is watered beforehand and half time.Originally posted by wongers View Postdon't we have sprinklers? well yes actually we do and they turned one on at half time on the half way line if the pitch was dry why didn't they turn them all on for the 15 minute break, **** sake don't use that as an excuse when you have the equipment to put it right
One thing about Jurgen is he loves his grass. Wanted to rip out pitch but main stand redevelopment stopped, one of the first things he wanted to do when he came was, to find out what grass other teams use in PL, and tear apart Melwood and put in 3-4 sample grasses so we could train on the right grass in the week before.
Grass.

couldn't agree more - penalty aside I thought he was ****ing terrible yesterday and has been for a weeks.
Ah Firmino - what a strange one he is - Looks like a ****ing superstar one week - touch/control/pressing/skill/confidence/strong/wins headers/strikes the ball/links up etc - then the next week he's all over the place
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

He's being played wide so affecting his performance I think - if Origi is to play then surely swap him and Firmino.Originally posted by PTP View Post

Wini has hit a bad patch alright. Firmino and Milner have been on a real bad run for awhile now. Firmino is a mystery, amazing or dreadful. Milner has done an admirable job at LB but he's been very poor for awhile now. Offers zero attacking threat going forward. Slow and cuts in every time. Clyne aswell infuriates me, endless energy and gets into great positions but his delivery is terrible.
To be fair to Clyne & Milner, Clyne has never been asked to get forward as much in his career & Milner is playing out of position.... so only so much to can give out about these guys.

To be honest if we are at a point where we are talking about our FBs being at fault for our lack of attacking threat ( and I know you are not pinning it on the FBs Dan), then what does that say for our midfielders and supposed attackers?I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

True but isn't that what Klopp wants ? Our width from the fullbacks?Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostTo be honest if we are at a point where we are talking about our FBs being at fault for our lack of attacking threat ( and I know you are not pinning it on the FBs Dan), then what does that say for our midfielders and supposed attackers?
That's our setup, so narrow. We literally rely on Mane as our only other width apart from Milner & Clyne... it's crazy when you think about it.

on motd they were looking at the amount of sideways passes from our midfield and defence. nothing at all went forward from the passing between can and lucas.
they even showed when the odd nosebleed moment when a forward made a darting run into space but the others were so involved passing the ball about there was no pass made to try and play them in.
so what if the pass is intercepted, if the attacker makes some space by moving a defender out wide and someone else runs into it then at least have a ****ing go.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
